I actually had gone to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery twice inquiring about breast augmentation. I was about 80% of the way there the first time, but chickened out for many reasons. But the next year, I was determined to make it happen! Both times I was treated beyond well. Dr. Gervais and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and pay great attention to details and my needs. From the moment of my very first interaction to every single question I had a long the way (and there were a lot), Sarah & his staff communicated very thoroughly and got back to me within the same day. Dr. Gervais always addressed my husband and I both, asking if we had any questions. Taking his time (which any patient can appreciate) to explain every detail of how everything would work and why he answered things the way he did. I am SO grateful that he has had a ton of experience do this type of surgery, because he talked me out of a size that would have made me look ridiculous. He was very honest but not bossy or pushy. He reassured me that he could make any size I chose look beautiful, but he definitely knew what he was talking about when he told me his personal opinion (I had asked for it). I was very disheartened at first because I was set on a size I thought was right in my head, but I still decided to trust him. And I am SO glad that I did! He is extremely personable and you can tell he really loves his job and his patients. This was my very first surgery and first time doing anything of this scale at the doctor. So needless to say, I was a little anxious. However, the day of my surgery, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and accommodated. I could tell they did this a lot! Which was very reassuring to me! The anesthesiologist made my husband and I feel right at home as he joked with us while getting ready to bring me to the operating room. Everyone was so nonchalant about what they were doing that I almost forgot I was going to have surgery! They made conversation the whole time while I was being prepared for surgery. Dr. Gervais even came in the room right beforehand to see if I had any other questions or concerns and to ensure we were all on the same page. Then his anesthesiologist came in, started making small talk while I took my meds, and then we talked and joked our way all the way to the operating table! I remember him asking me about something and before I knew it I was waking up! His staff helped me to my husband and helped us get me to the car safely. And that night, they also called to check up on me. His staff is so friendly and personable you almost forget they're your providers and not friends! I would request anyone time and time again to Dr. Doug Gervais and his staff at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery!
