September 29, 2009 I had gastric bypass surgery (rny). My highest weight was 350 and I got down to 171. I lost a lot of muscle and my hair thinned out and both came back along with 30 pounds. I had maintained around the 200 pound mark for over 3 years and figured it was time to look into the excess skin removal.
I went to 6 different consults and Minneapolis Plastic Surgery had the most to offer. I loved that everything was there from consult to all my after-care, the continuity of care has been amazing. All the staff was great at answering questions and very friendly. They have their own surgery rooms and on-staff anesthesiologists and have really taken great care of me.
I can't say enough about their pain management plan, I pretty much had no pain which is amazing considering it was a 6.5 hour surgery, I was cut all the way around and went home the same day with a catheter and 4 drains. I followed their guidelines to a T and all went great, I'm so happy I went with this practice.

I highly recommend Dr. Gervais, he is very personable and a perfectionist. He is considered an expert in the lower body lift procedure and has written medical papers that other surgeons use. You can trust him to assess your current individual situation and recommend the procedures that will benefit you most. Safety is his number one concern, he will not pile on the procedures to make more money, he will make sure the procedures are safe and the pain will be manageable. Each appointment he is focused on me and how I'm doing and what I need, he was really there for me.

Wow!! That's an amazing result!! I had a tummy tuck, muscle repair & breast reduction in Oct 2014. I am going back later this yr to have her finish the back & I hope my results are as good as yours. You have to be ecstatic!! Congrats!!

You look great! I live in the Twin Cities and have just started to really look into plastic surgeons. I want one who really understands patients dealing with massive weight loss. I still have some more weight I'd like to get off first though. May I ask how tall you are? I feel like my build is similar to your's before surgery.
