I have always, always, always been self conscious about my breasts. They were not like the other girls no matter what I did. They were long and narrow, rather than full and round. I also have very large areolas, much like a snoopy nose. I wore padded bras to give the appearance of roundness but then the upper part of the bra would be popped out because I still couldn't fill it. I am tired of that. I am ready to get this "monkey" off my back and start feeling confident about my breasts! Less than one month!

Day 2 post op. Feeling pretty good. A little more sore than yesterday but that is expected. Dr. Gervais and his staff were wonderful through the whole process. He spent a fair amount of time with me pre-op discussing my options again and reasons for his recommendations. He took extra time in the OR with me due to the complexity of the surgery. I was really nervous and the staff really helped me through it all. Follow up phone calls were very helpful and friendly. Overall I think it was a good experience! Can't wait to see the new "girls"!

One week update: I have kept on top of the pain...

One week update: I have kept on top of the pain really well and have only felt discomfort and tightness. Today, I feel pain. Only because my muscles are revolting against the chest strap that I have on to help the implants drop. My breasts are a bit scary looking as well at this point but that was completely expected. A little bruising, benelli lift stiches and tightened, squarish shape due to the surgery. All of this and I can still say I am so happy I did this! I put on a "regular" bra last night (no wires) and I actually teared up because I had boobs. Not my old ones, ones that looked like regular boobs! (well, minus the other symptoms). I filled out a bra for the first time in my entire life!
I'm happy for you that you get to have this done! It's going to be nice to feel comfortable in bras and swimsuits and more confident in your body. Please keep us posted as your big day comes closer!
