Mini Tummy Tuck with muscle repair

At this point, I’m still not sure if I think the surgery was worth almost $7000, and extreme pain. Yes, the excess skin I gone, but, the difference other than that isn’t huge, especially in clothes. I still have a little bit of a pooch when I look down . Could it still be one swelling? I’m still numb from the belly button down, which is weird. I’ve gone back to Peking our, and even this far out from surgery, I feel like I swell a bit after, and it’s sore long the incision. I’m about 5 pounds lighter than before surgery as well.

Thanks for the update! I think you look great for what it’s worth..but I definitely understand expecting more. Hopefully things continue to improve!

Thanks for posting an update? Such a huge improvement though the way you look in a bikini. I completely understand about the scar though. I had. Have a mini tt correct a horrible outcome from another procedure that I never should have gotten. And though I'm very thankful my tummy is fixed, I hate the longer scar. My scar is thin and nice, don't get me wrong but it's still a car that I'm learning to live it's now. I miss my little csection scar. Never thought I'd say that. But I'm 4 months post and you are 5 month post. Scars continue healing, softening, and getting more natural color even after a year! So I'm sure yours is going to continue to improve.i never had much swelling but I've read it can least up to a year too.

Thank you and I agree that is the hardest part being patient!

I'm it super familiar with a mini TT with muscle repair, so forgive my question, but is that just the muscle below the belly button? Your results look so good!!
January 11, 2020
Yes, the muscle is repaired and skin removed, but only from the belly button down.

so the muscles up cant be repaired with a mini tummy tuck?

I am almost 5 months post op and I am still so numb and have quite a bit of residual swelling. This recovery process is long! It's so easy to get discouraged and question if it was worth it. I truly believe we need to wait a full year to see the final result.
January 12, 2020
I think you're right
January 24, 2020
Oh you look amazing! Can I ask a question? With a mini, can they make a new belly button or is that only with a full?
January 24, 2020
Thank you! I think that's only with a full, but I could be wrong. If you want it done, I don't see why they wouldn't do it. My belly button is a bit lower, and changed in shape a bit from being pulled down, but I'm fine with it now. Hope that helps :)

Weaning out of binder- kinda

crazymaud
Still wearing my binder at night ( as you can tell from he marks on my stomach) because I don’t sleep well without it. I wouldn’t say it hurts, but I still feel a lot of pulling when I move at night that wakes me up if I don’t wear the binder.
I’m trying to get used to he tight feeling in my stomach when I don’t wear the binder during the day. I know many recommended wearing it during the day, and not at night to wean yourself, but I disagree- at least for myself.

I’ve just scrolled through your posts. Wow! The transformation is amazing. You have a lovely shape and a smooth stomach now. You look great and... it’s only going to get better as I’m sure ( although I can’t see it) I’m sure you will still be swollen. I can’t imagine not wearing my binder. I hate it. But feel really fragile without it.
September 28, 2019
Yes, I still have some swelling. I think you are a few weeks behind me in recovery (you are looking fabulous!!), and I felt/ feel exactly the same about my binder. I hated taking it off, even to shower. It's only been in the last week or so that I've felt ok not wearing it when I'm at home during the day. I found some girdles on Amazon that are a thong back, and sit nice and low to support my lower belly that I wear with jeans/ pants because my binder makes my butt look atrocious! Thank for your kind words! In a few weeks, you will turn a corner with comfort :)

You look great!! Dr. M did my breast augmentation! She's amazing!
September 29, 2019
Thank you!! Yes, I agree, she's great!
September 29, 2019
So to confirm, you had a mini not a full? So did your belly button move significantly?
September 29, 2019
Correct, I had a mini. My belly button is a bit lower, and also the shape has changed so hot it's a little longer. At first it freaked me out a bit, but I'm getting used to seeing it, and am fine with it
September 29, 2019
Arg, auto correct! Take out "hot"- my belly button is a little longer because of being pulled down
September 29, 2019
Thank you - I think you look great! I am told I only need a mini but am worried about belly button moving lower than what is natural so hope it looks as good as yours!
September 29, 2019
You are smart that you are even thinking of it! I foolishly didn't consider my belly button changing at all. I wrongly thought that since they were only working below my bb, that it would look the same. It doesn't, but I don't hate how it looks now. I really don't like how reconstructed bbs look with full tt surgery tho, so I think I prefer a little lower one with the mini. :). If you decide to go for it, I will gladly share lots of things I learned that helped my recovery
December 27, 2019
Hey! Any updates at 5 months? I just had my mini done a couple of days ago and I’m hoping I look half as good as you when I’m all healed!
December 30, 2019
Thank you so much! I will post pics today!

Finally feeling like it was worth it

crazymaud
I’m still wearing my binder 24/7, just because it feels better. I’m allowed to start weaning out of it. Very happy with how low the car is. These bikini bottoms sit very low, and the incision is covered. The recovery is loooong, and I’ve questioned my decision to do it many times, but I’m finally feeling like it was worth it

You look fantastic! Thanks for updating your review. How is your swelling at 2 months post-op?
September 9, 2019
Thank you so much!! I have a little bit of swelling, but not a ton. When I'm strict with my diet, the swelling stays down. If I have a cheat day, I really swell.

That’s good to know. I’m excited to get to 2 months post and see my results. You really look great. I don’t see the swelling in your photos.
September 9, 2019
I will take another pic in a few days to sort of chart the swelling. I think I feel it more than it looks. It feels tight

You look fabulous. I was going to ask about swelling too. It doesn’t look like you have any now.
September 9, 2019
Thank you! I really appreciate that! My swelling isn't bad in the morning, but, it does swell a bit by evening. I'm also still wearing my binder all the time

Wow! You look amazing !!! I am so impressed with your scar! It is very low!! Your wearing an ultra low bikini and it isn't showing! I would have no idea you even had a scar down there! That's awesome! Congrats! You must be so happy! (Very cute bikini btw! Looks so great on you!)
September 21, 2019
Thank you! Yes, this bikini is very low- I've actually never even worn it outside of my room! I appreciate your kind words! It feels like the recovery is going on forever!
