Beyond Grateful to Dr. Zarrabi and His Amazing Team
I must start off by saying that I am not one to write reviews and in all honestly this is my very first one. Seeing as I relied heavily on reviews in selecting the three Plastic Surgeons that I ultimately scheduled consultations with - I thought it was important to share my experience.
I should start off by sharing that my reason for needing/wanting a tummy tuck was a little unusual. I was hoping to have corrected a large indentation that had been created in my lower abdomen from a previous surgery I required a few years ago. Removing excess skin, as well as getting rid of the dreaded c-section "shelf" would be added bonuses - but ones I would happily take. It was important to me however, that when meeting with each of the plastic surgeons that they understood that had it not been for this indentation in my stomach I would NOT be researching a tummy tuck at all. FIXING it was my one and only concern - anything else would be a happy extra.
The first plastic surgeon I met with was nice; she didn't really try to up-sell me on anything and recommended a mini tummy tuck to correct the indentation but also said a full could be recommended as well (because of the extra skin I had on my stomach due to my weight loss).
The second plastic surgeon I met with was completely opposite. The up-selling felt like it started from the minute I walked in. She rushed me through the consultation and her only recommendation was a full tummy tuck with liposuction of the flanks - as she said anything else would simply not look good. I quickly crossed her off of my list.
Then I met with Dr. Zarrabi.....now I must be honest and admit that I had purposely scheduled his consultation last, as I was hoping that I would end up liking him the best. I did this for a couple of reasons: 1) I read a million reviews on a million websites and his were by far the best 2) his Before and After photos were my favorite and 3) his office staff was AMAZING. From the first time I spoke with Ariel, she truly went above and beyond in answering questions and making a potential patient feel at ease.
My consultation with Dr. Zarrabi was everything I had hoped for and more. He understood the main reason for my consultation and not only focused on how he could fix the indentation in my stomach but even went as far as to try and understand how it was created in the first place. He spent so much time going over all of my options and even made the comment "we could do this, but I don't think it would be worth it to you" as he truly understood why I was there and what was important to me. His recommendation: a mini tummy tuck.
Fast forward to the surgery day and again Dr. Zarrabi and his staff were the absolute best. I can't say enough good things. Recovery has thankfully been so much easier than I thought it would be. I'm almost 5 weeks post op and I honestly couldn't be happier with the results thus far! Ariel and the office staff have continued to be so helpful and Dr. Zarrabi is truly a gifted plastic surgeon.
