3 Weeks post op

I’ve returned to work this week, I was able to move around with ease, the only issue is when I sit down for too long, I feel my incision forces me to bend slightly, the I can easily stand upright.
I’ve tightened my compression garment 3 times and now it got to the point where no tightening is required, as most of the swelling is gone, except for around the incision.
Sensation around the incision is still not there.
Sleeping has become much easier, I no longer need to wake up so that I can shift to another side.

The scar is nearly formed with few scabs lying around, I’m waiting for all of them to go away before proceeding to put the silicon sheets.

I’m starting to do some light exercises, I’m trying to hit my activity scores as they were before the surgery, and I’m close to there.

I’m feeling generally good about the result and actually quite optimistic about the end-result.

Your stomach looks great! You looked really good before but I understand wanting to get any excess fat and loose skin removed. Good luck with your healing and keep us posted!
Good job brotha, can’t wait to see the final. Thanks for sharing man.

Week of the operation

The doctor suggested doing an abdominoplasty that will only handle skin and fat, with no muscle manipulation. He told me he would remove the excess skin, and would perform some liposuction on the flanks as well, and he would try to minimize the incision length as much as possible.

The operation took almost 4 hours, and I woke up with the compression garment, and two drains installed above of my pubic bone.
I stayed in the hospital for 1 night, had some nausea, and minimal hypotension but nothing serious
My surgeon suggested that I keep up with tightening the compression garment, that I should take off 2-3cm of each side every time it gets looser and to add padding if necessary to ensure good compression.
He told me that it would be a bit difficult to walk in the first few days, that I might walk bent like an old man, but I should mobilize when I can to help better circulation and to prevent any blood clots. I was discharged with only pain medications and no antibiotics.
He suggested that I sleep in recliner, knees elevated and body slightly upright, to prevent straining the wound. Also no sleeping on the sides initially.
He suggested that I never take off the compression garment until he sees me after 3 days to remove the drains.
When the drains started providing less than 30 ml of blood a day, he said they can be removed and he removed them quickly and with barely any pain. He examined the suture and wound and said it looks good, and that I could come once a week for a dressing change.
It was still very difficult to walk for long distances, it wasn't possible for me to go to work, the incision forces you to bend slightly and this strains your back.

My mobility became much better after removing the drains, it became possible to drive 5 days post-op while tolerating the pain.
As for sleep, it was still difficult and very uncomfortable to sleep on the bed, so I'm still sleeping on the recliner.

Mini Tummy Tuck for 26 Year Old Male

I had moderate weight loss for 9 years now, from 95 to 70kg, most of my fat was centered around my abdomen, I lost this weight and had redundancy especially on my lower abdomen.
I started working out in the gym for probably 6 years now, and reached the lowest body fat I could muster.
So I decided it would be best to remove the excess skin and fat even if it means having a scar.

So I went to my doctor who examined me, and told me that it wasn't really that necessary to remove the excess skin as it's not significant, but to me it was, and I was adamant on removing it.
