Recovery in full swing

Coming along

WORTH IT$8,500
Doing well. After two months what still bothers me is:

1-Stitches that won't dissolve. Why is it taking so long? Not sure.
2-the tightness. I know I shouldn't complain but it's just a new feeling for me. Not use to it yet.
3-sudden swelling. Seems if I dance too much or carry my babies I swell up later in the day. Wish this wouldn't happen. I feel like I did something wrong to my body but I suppose this reaction is normal. A year is what it's gonna take!

I'm so happy about:
1-skin being gone! Should I say more? :)
2-I believed I could get through this operation and I did successfully. I feel strong.
3-I have a new start, a second chance to work with and enjoy my body. I can have those abs I used to have...in time. Not really working out regularly yet. Call me a slacker! :D but I did join a gym.

Rest and heal ladies. We have done good for ourselves! So awesome we live in an era where we can change our bodies! What a privilege!

Great update. I like the taking stock of what you are happy/not happy about. Good idea and I'm gonna "borrow" it...think it will help,me keep perspective. Hugs and continued good progress.
Thanks . Yes, I'm seeing how we focus so much on what we don't like that we forget to appreciate the little things. So much good happening all the time. I'm a converted pessimist! Lol I force myself to at least find the same amount of good in the bad.
Love your not happy/happy list. After spending so much money we hope to be 100% happy, but reality is that most things in life come with good and bad aspects. Thanks for the honest feedback about your experience!
You are welcome. Yes, I recall the pamphlets have those checklists to find out if you're a good candidate for surgery. I always found it interesting when it says good candidates have a realistic expectation of the surgical outcome...improvement not perfection. I think we forget. :) good feedback mrs Robinson. Appreciate it.
Wow! Love that your in 2! I noticed 2 suture ends today, 5 months po. I read that hydrogen peroxide will help reduce the strength of the sutures. Id love to be able to pull it, but its amazingly tender!
How does that work? Do you put hydrogen peroxide on the outside of the stitch? Hmmm.?
Yes, I get it after the shower. Just dab some on it. Good luck!
"Rest and heal ladies. We have done good for ourselves! So awesome we live in an era where we can change our bodies! What a privilege!". I absolutely agree, and you great!
Thanks so much!
I agree Precious rest and heal, I 've only just started exercising properly now. We didn't do this to become bikini models did we, we were repaired. Every day I try to keep it real and remember what's important in life, what's left when I'm dead and gone, I don't want them to say at my funeral 'Oh but she had such a lovely body and worked so hard to get it!!" LOL Your scar is lovely and so are you. x
Thank you, very sweet. It's a balance I try to have. A mental game it seems we play. All kinds of thoughts come in: "I'm selfish and vain" vs "I'm going to do the best for me with what ive got!" "This is just one little thing I can do that will improve my life" "plastic surgery won't make me happy, I need to be better on the inside than I look on the outside". So many thoughts I know try to get our attention. Everyday keeping it 'real' as you say secretdiva.

Almost back to my old self but...

I almost think I'll never be like I was before because I "feel" my abs now.. I for got that feeling if I ever had it before having babies.

I still have those annoying stitches that poke me at unexpected bending or twisting. It hurts but goes away in a minute.

I tried on dresses today -sorry I didn't take any pictures- I ended up in a size 2! Would've been happy in a 4 but I'll take it. Maybe it was the brand. Either way. Crazy. My waist is back.

Yay for size 2... skinny Minnie!!! You look like you're healing really well, you can definitely see your waist definition
Ahhhh thank you! Finally don't have that extra flub in the front it really makes a different. Sometimes I forget that it's not there and I look down to check if I've tucked it in right...lol
It would! I was an Aus8 (US4) after 2 babies & still had to constantly adjust my jelly belly. I can't wait for It to be gone.
Yes, I was terrified about doing it. Then I'd think of that skin being gone, being flat again...yeah there was no going back.
Size 2!!! That's amazing! You look amazing!

Stitches are witches

By witches you know I mean B****es. I have a stitch on my left side that has been verrrrry annoying, really poking when I bend down or doing certain movements. I guess it's coming out, right underneath the skin. Hurts and distracts me from my regular activities. It's lasted for 4 or 5 days. Hopefully it's near the end of its existence.

Mine do the same. And comes out in small pieces! It can be like having a splinter. I am 4 months have 2-3 just under the skin that I'm looking forward to spitting. Not. ;)
Good to know! I wasn't sure how all else did with that! Thsnks
Thanks
