I am still 2 weeks away from my first consultation but figured I should start my 'real self' journal and review. This website as well as 'Eden Knows Implants' has been tremendously helpful as of late. Like many on here, I wasn't blessed with boobs and have wanted them since they stopped growing. I am a 34A/32B and would like to be a full C/small D cup.

Those who know me best are not surprised that I am finally taking the steps to actually get them done. I literally have been talking about this for 20 years. I always said that I would get them after having babies or when I turned 40, whichever happened first. Well, there are no babies in my future unfortunately and I am 4 months away from turning 41. It's time!

I have two consultations scheduled with a possible third in a few hours. I met with my gynecologist last week for my annual and to discuss my plans. I have breast cysts and have been through multiple mammograms in the last ten years. I wanted to make sure that they wouldn't prevent my desire for implants. Dr. Megan Trester (Waukesha, WI) is fantastic and easy to talk to. She has no concerns as long as I go under the muscle. She even recommended 2 plastic surgeons and I will be calling one today.

I am hoping to have this done in June before my work schedule gets a little complicated.

I could have written this post with a few differences (I'm 28 with 3 kids) but our stats are almost exactly the same. Same starting cup size too. Booked with DR. SONDERMAN today for March 28th (exactly one year after this post)

Congratulations! Dr. Sonderman is wonderful! I cannot sing his praises loud enough. :)

Consultation and Surgery scheduled

sjbajourney
I met with Dr. Philip Sonderman of Greater Milwaukee Plastic Surgeons this morning. I had 2 other consultations scheduled but have such a good feeling about Dr. Sonderman that I canceled them. I trust some may look down on that but I have been researching this for 20 years. It truly came down to how I felt about the plastic surgeon. Normally, I am a little weirded out by male doctors and usually only see females. I had no funny feelings about him whatsoever. He is incredibly nice and very thorough. He came recommended by my gynecologist and I truly trust her. Dr. Sonderman's office staff and nurse were very nice as well.

Surgery is scheduled for June 6th. We agreed on 400cc's HP silicone under the muscle.

I made rice sizers and wore them for a couple of hours. At first they seemed too big; however, every time I passed a mirror and took a side look, it looked natural! I will take photos with different tops tomorrow. In the meantime, I have been pouring over this website for 400cc ladies. Some I look at and think they will be too big for me and others I think won't be big enough. We tried 425 cc's and they definitely seemed too big. I know to trust the doctor on this. Ideally, the photo I am (hopefully) attaching to this update is what I hope to end up with.

I am so excited to be on this journey!

Rice Sizers

sjbajourney
Yesterday I wore rice sizers in a sports bra for a couple of hours. They seemed pretty large for my frame when looking at them straight on but just fine from the side. (sigh) I am concerned that 400cc is going to be too large for me. I have read that some women with that implant size end up with DD or DDD cups. I am not comfortable with that. A solid D is fine. I know that every woman is different.

Any suggestions or insight anyone can share?

I'm not sure how much breast tissue you already have but I'm completely flat and was initially going with 400CCs . . I'm aiming for natural looking results, full C or small D and multiple doctors have suggested that. Try looking into different implant shapes. 400CCs round will give you different results from 400CCs anatomical. Meet with your doctor again, try on some more sizers and even get an opinion from someone who's opinion will mean a lot to you if you can.
