Microblading Second Time Around

Many a time I've read reviews on microblading and been really concerned that clients dont seem to understand the process as a whole. As soon as they have had them done they lament the colour & shape etc etc and start talking about how to take them off!! Its scary that they don't seem to have had it explained to them that their brows will be a little startling / "angry birds" to start off with and until they have gone through the healing process you cannot judge the colour/shape etc etc because the healing process is different for everyone and the pigment can react differently to your skin than it may someone else. So, I thought I'd do a daily piccy diary to show the process and my brows healing so people contemplating this can see how it goes. This is the second time I've had my brows bladed. I originally went to Tracie Giles in London which cost an arm and a leg (£700!!) but it being the first time I'd done anything like this I wasn't will to take any risks. The technician did an excellent job and I was very pleased but i really didnt relish going backwards and forwards to London again - or paying the arm and leg - especially since, although the technician did her job really well, I didnt find her particularly friendly, so I researched locally and came across M F Studio in Bletchley. I made an appointment and found Marta extremely professional and informative. She asked all the right questions and answered all of mine and I felt confident I had made the right choice. I filled in some paperwork and she also gave me a leaflet about caring for your brows after microblading. She carried out a patch test and we made an appointment for the brows!!. Marta spent quite a lot of time drawing on my brows to show how they would be, I explained I would like them a little more angular and she happily made the small adjustment. Then... off we went.. The microblading was not painful at all for the first couple of hours but the last circuit 30mins it was rather sore. Marta explained that the skin does get tired and sensitive when you keep on at it but this is the process. She offered me numbing cream and breaks but I was happy for her to carry on. She went back and forth to each brow until she was entirely happy, perfecting each stroke. When she had finished and I looked at the mirror I was really impressed. The strokes were perfect, the shape was great - I was truly happy and more than happy to go through the "angry birds" process to see great brows at the end of it. Healing and the pigment settling can take up to six weeks so be prepared to be patient. We spoke about making the touch up appointment in 5-6 weeks, which I will do nearer the time. So off home I went, with slightly tender brows. It is worth noting that the touch up appointment is really important!! This is where your technician gets to see her work and how the strokes and pigment have settled. Everyone heals differently and sometimes the pigment may appear too light, or have disappeared in places and this can all be corrected at this appointment where your technician can resolve any problems. I can highly recommend M F Studios in Bletchley - Marta is professional and friendly and also a true perfectionist. She made me feel very comfortable and I was really happy with my initial results.

Marta was very professional and informative. She was concerned throughout the process with my comfort and she was friendly and chatty. The cherry on the cake was that she was an absolute perfectionist and took her time to get my brows - her work - just right!! Highly recommended.

I went to Tracie Giles and it was more expensive than my local clinics but it is my face and I didn’t relish risking it with a place that hasn’t stood the test of time and also this clinic only recruits from artists competing in World Championships nowadays. This is an unregulated industry and I am a nervous client and I don’t want a tattoo regret on my face.
I have now been returning for the past 4 years and my brows just look soft perfect and natural - I also like the fact they have medical staff on hand that can manage any complications that can occur with any procedure.
The other thing is that the time planning was sooooo long by the artist - good, no rush. BUT my partner is a bit against me having anything done so for me I chose quality as he didn’t really notice until we were out sometime later and commented on how ‘naturally’ beautiful my brows and eyes were. For me I have to have quality discreet work so I’m prepared to pay a £100 extra as it’s more than worth it for the absolute peach of mind

Getting Scabby & Itchy

Hoping this stage passes quickly!! The colour has already lightened up and a few scabs have already fallen off as I've woken up with bits of pigment/scab on my face.
