I'm going to update with pics once the doctor...

I'm going to update with pics once the doctor gives me the befores and afters, but I just wanted to throw out a word of warning (don't worry, it's not all that dire because nothing terrible happened but it shocked the sh$t out of me because I saw no mention of this during my VAST amounts of research): Sculpsure (at the highest level, and, even second highest) hurts.

Like a lot.

I had four areas to do (flanks and bra line) and had expected it to be moderately uncomfortable. I have a high tolerance for pain and I am here to tell you, that was not the case.
Picture, if you will, a sharp-clawed animal--we'll say a saber toothed tiger for the purpose of this discussion--had one goal and that goal was to disembowel you.
As slowly as possible.
And that tiger tells you, oh, BTDubs, you can watch TV while it disembowels you if you want to? And naturally you're all, "Eh, nah. I'm going to sit here and try not to pain vomit (which hasn't happened since I birthed a nine pound baby from my vagina without epidural over a 36 hour period 20 years ago)." And she's like, "Cool."
That about sums it up, gang.

Pros?
-It's short-lived. Only 25 minutes a session. I can take anything for 25 minutes. But I will tell you, since I had to do it four times, it was a CLOSE THING. It was only the story I concocted in my head as a distraction method about me being an American spy kidnapped by the KGB during the Cold War and being tortured for secrets that could put my whole country at risk that kept me on the table.

-The satisfaction rating is very high and my doctor (who was very nice and professional) assured me that patients are very pleased with results. I saw some amazing before and afters that lead me to believe this treatment is revolutionary for problem fat areas.

-Once the machine comes off, the pain is gone. I'm feeling a little sore but nothing I would need painkillers for or anything like that. Feels like I was raking the lawn for too long or something.

- You can tell the doctor to turn down the intensity. (Annnnnd THIS is where I dropped the ball. I tried to stick it out at the max and should've spoken up sooner and just accepted the fact that, for whatever reason, this particular brand of pain was beyond my threshold. I didn't because higher intensity = better results and I wanted my money's worth. Afterward, though, when my palms were still drenched in sweat and I felt like I'd been put through the ringer, I realized that was a mistake.

- No down time.

- No incisions.

- No anesthesia.

All GREAT reasons to consider this as an option despite the pain...

But with the memory still so fresh, I think I'd have a hard time going back in.

Will update with results and pics over the next few weeks. Fingers crossed it's all worth it :o)
