Upper & Lower Blepharo with Co2 Laser Resurfacing & Small Fat Transfer in Italy

Hello! After reading many reviews about blepharoplasty, and finally deciding to get rid of my "tired" and droopy looking eyelids, I consulted with several plastic surgeons until I found the right one. I am from Italy and travel there often for work so I emailed and got in touch with Dr. Massimo Brambilla from Milan. He is a very friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable surgeon. I am very satisfied with the outcome of the surgery although I had a few "issues" along the way, leading to a complete healing and fantastic results. I flew to Milan and the next day underwent surgery. All testing was done at the clinic. Dr. Brambilla did an examination of my eyes as he had not seen me before, as he had only seen my pictures. He assessed I needed upper and lower (transconjunctival) blepharosplasty with canthopexy , Co 2 laser resurfacing under my eyes, and a small fat transfer under eyes to avoid hollowness. Seems a lot, but in reality the surgery took less than 1 hour to perform, under sedation. Recovery was great.I took Arnica, antibiotics and did not need painkillers as I had no pain whatsoever and i felt great. I even went out and shopped a bit in Milan the day after surgery! The third day I was out and about, wearing sunglasses all day and drinking fresh juices in street cafe's. Only annoying thing is the puffiness, my right eye was almost completely shut but hey, that did not stop me from going out. Important to use drops to keep eyes from drying up. The fourth day after surgery my stitches were removed. That was a bit painful! I flew back home the next day and experienced quite a lot of puffiness the day after, but in one day it was gone. I took my arnica, and drank plenty of water. I stayed out the sun and put lots of sunscreen and rubbed my scars as instructed. In the first few months I had bumps at the corner of my eye where canthopexy was performed, due to a stitches not dissolving, I was very worried and wrote to realself doctors for advice! I had to get the stitch removed and all went well. I now marked my 6 months after surgery and I must say the results are amazing. I look fresh, relaxed and I lost that tired look which really bothered me. Even when i'm tired, I look fresh!! that's awesome. Most of the fat under the eyes was reabsorbed so little is left but Dr. Brambilla told me he can do it again if I want, but I think I'll stay this way since it looks good anyway. One advise is to do your research and ONLY have eyelid surgery (or any surgery) done by a board certified plastic surgery because that determines the way you will look for the rest of your life!!!
