I am 2 weeks post op from my re-augmentation. 14 years ago I had 300cc round saline implants (only saline was available back then). I was a 34A before and a 34C after. They looked great, I did waffle on the size back then, between 360cc and 300cc, went with the smaller, once I got used to them I realized I would like bigger, but they were still great so didn't consider it until after 10 years. Now that silicone is back on the market and I heard about the gummy bears, I decided to look into it. Plus I wanted to increase the size quite a bit. After meeting with my doctor, Dr. Kirk Moore in Utah (great doctor), I discussed that I wanted more fullness, a good natural shape, nice slope and roundness at the bottom. The saline I had looked good but they did ripple on the sides and they were a bag of water, not consistent softness. We decided on Sientra gummy bear shaped (round base), which is sloped at the top, fuller at the bottom and has more projection than a round implant. The only problem is that the round base only goes up to 425 cc, they don't make them any bigger. I was disappointed in that, so between pre op and surgery day I decided on 505cc round high profile instead. I did that based on 3 friends who recently had 500cc implants and loved them. I wanted more size. The day of surgery, the Dr. came in to meet with me and said the 505cc would fit, but barely, my breast width is 13cm. He said it wasn't what I discussed that I wanted, they wouldn't look at natural, they would be very round, sticking out more on the sides but not more projection. He said they were a little too big for my breast, and he felt the 425 round base was a better option for what I said I wanted. He was probably right, I was just disappointed that the round base didn't come in a larger size. I trusted his opinion and went with the 425cc round base gummy bear. They look great! Natural, nice slope, good projection, they don't stick out too far on the sides, I don't have a round shape on top. But I do have more fullness on top, more cleavage, they look really good. They only down side is they are really not much larger than the 300cc saline that I had before. I can wear the same size bra 34C, even though I have more fullness and I probably should wear a 34D. They aren't the big bouncing boobies I wanted, but over all, they are very nice, natural, look awesome and normal. Maybe larger ones would have looked "big" but not totally normal. I'm happy with them. I'll post before and after pics. The before is with 300cc saline, the after is 1 day post op. I'll post more after pics later as time goes by. Good luck to all of you in your decisions. :) Now, my before pic is in different lighting and actually looks better than my post op, but don't let the photo's fool you, in real life the new boobs look fuller and better!
UPDATED FROM nanzar
1 month post
Love them, but had some bruising
nanzarJune 25, 2014
5 weeks post op this week. My dr. does the rapid recovery and that was amazing! I had very little pain, very little swelling. My breasts felt pretty firm at first and now that the little bit of swelling has gone down and the muscles are healing, they are really soft!! I'm surprised at how different they are than the saline. Even just lying on my stomach, they feel so natural and soft, not like lying on two water balloons which is what that felt like with saline implants. I really love the feel of them. I've said before, I wanted a larger size but they didn't have larger in the tear drop implant and the dr. said the 505 rounds were too big for my breast width. So other than that, the tear drop shape have more projection and I'll say that really looks good. They also look really natural. I had some bad bruising, it was ugly! I'll post a pic of it here. The nurse said it was unusual to bruise like that, but nothing to worry about. No it didn't hurt, just looked black and blue. The bruising is a lot better now, but not completely gone. I'll post another pic in a week or so after the bruising is mostly gone. Love these implants, great shape, great projection, super soft. Ask me any questions!

Just read your update and I can relate to the size options available for your breast width. I am almost 11.0 so the highest I can do is 320 on Rt and 270 on left. I wanted bigger to put me at a D instead of a nice C. Have Boob greed already and surgery isn't for another week! I want the natural slope look tho so I'm gonna trust my PS. They say it takes a full year for the gummy bears to settle fully. Yours are looking good, hope the bruising goes away quickly.

I didn't see these comments until now, sorry! I read your profile, you've had surgery, they look good! I love my shaped gummy bears! As the muscles continue to stretch and relax they get better and better, I tried the gym after week 3, but I was so tired, week 6 I started to feel normal and went back to my normal work out routine. Rest and enjoy!

Thank you! I'm loving them too! I'll start back at thevgym week 4...see how I do! Are your gummies still changing?

Kind of, it's more that my muscles are relaxing and so they look better and natural. They looked kind of narrow and tight and full on the upper part. They've relaxed a lot now and have rounded out on the bottom. They're still nice and full but look more dropped and beautiful. The projection is more noticeable now too.

Nice! Thanks! I'm still hoping the fullness on my right side shrinks down a bit so it matches the left more. I had 50cc's more in the right and as of now....you can really tell!

Glad you are happy with your revision. I had a revision and got sientas too. I had silicone already...

Congrats on your revision! I can't wait to follow your progress :) my ps also recommended sientra textured shaped implants for me as well. I tried the 350s and 400 and they looked huge on me, lol I'm 5'4 130 muscular and very active. I think I might go with 310...I'm worried about them being too firm...and I don't quite understand the while textured shaped implant...not supposed to move or rotate...so do they not bounce? I'm picturing literally them never moving on my chest like a natural breast, lol

The won't move freely around in a capsule like smooth implants. They will adhere to your tissue and move with u
August 15, 2014
So it will move a little? Lol
It won't not move? I'm picturing it like glued to my chest. Will they move with my natural breast tissue?

Idk. You gotta ask someone who has them or has had both smooth and round. I was concerned about that as well. I have smooth

Also textured has a lower cc rate but higher rupture rate. And they r more fir because the silicone is more cohesive and he textured shell which is also more palpable. But I myself have not had them. This info is just from my research

Hi, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting a pic of their profile? My doctor is recommending the exact size and shape for me that you got. I'd like to see the lower pole profile! Thanks so much!

You look great! You can always buy bra with more padding. That's what I do. So glad I didn't go too big. I had 2 friends go in for reductions after getting " boob" happy. Boob greed can be for suckers. Remember- some days you'll want to conceal them, and some days you'll want to flaunt them. A good bra is the answer. Enjoy your new body!
