I was super excited to get my breast implants. I...

I went to him about a year ago and got the gummy bear implants... I absolutely HATE my breasts. I have scheduled a consultation with another plastic surgeon for a revision. The rapid recovery was terrible. They had me laying on my chest instead of wrapping them and I would literally get stuck face down on the floor not able to move my arms or head while my entire chest seized up feeling kind of like a massive charley horse. It would take 2-3 people to roll me over and the pain was excruciating. When I went back in for an extra visit because I didn't feel like this was what the "rapid recovery" described, they were extremely rude and [RS bleep] as if there was something wrong with me. Finally, when I went in for my 3 month exam, I was not happy with the way they looked and I was told to wait a year and I should be happy with them. Well, it has been a year and they don't look any better than they did 9 months ago. They don't look like they have dropped and they do not look or feel even remotely natural. I started researching a few weeks ago and learned that after 6 months they should be settled in the pocket. I also learned that before a year there may have been some non-surgical way to fix my breasts, but at this point the scar tissue will probably require a surgical reconstruction. Also, the office refused to show me before and after pictures before I had my surgery...that should have been a clue. I would not use this doctor and his staff are very pretentious and rude on top of terrible looking breasts that were more expensive than any other surgeon I researched in the area.

I was super excited to get my breast implants. I always had what I thought were strange looking and very small breasts. I think my self esteem about them is worse now than it was before, and hope I can help prevent other people from that same experience. I still wear a padded bra (even with DD after surgery) because this is the best way I can disguise the way they look and make them look even slightly even. Please do a lot of research before committing to a surgeon and don't let them tell you to keep waiting and waiting if you're not happy with the results.

Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf. I'm sorry you are not happy with your results. What type and size implants did you get? Feel free to give your "worth it" rating a thumbs up or down on your review. (It's located right next to your surgery cost.) Wishing you the best with your revision journey!

Wow! In reviewing your pictures, I cannot understand why you would say anything about how bad they look! As for showing you pictures preoperatively, we have picture books on full display inside the consult rooms, available for anyone to see--no asking necessary. You came back in for 'the extra' visit, but it was not for the rapid recovery, it was for another reason entirely. As for research into what can be done at any given time after surgery, that depends entirely on the problem at hand. There was never any indication to do anything, and as of your 3-month pictures you have a really nice result. Maybe things have changed since that time, and we would be more than happy to see you in follow-up and address those concerns. Please set up an appointment and we will address your concerns to the best of our ability.

I will post pictures of what they look like on my review. I wouldn't describe this as a "very nice result". As for my post-op visits, I made two extra. One was for a spitting stitch, and the other was for concerns with the "rapid recovery" and the laying on them routine. I was given a strap after convincing the nurse to ask the Dr for one, and I was told that if I used it the Dr would not stand by the result as this is not his protocol. Well, not wanting to mess them up, I asked for another alternative to laying on them, and a different nurse (who was much nicer and understanding) went through the stretches with me again and showed me how to do them differently than I was shown the day after surgery. Doing the stretches differently helped me be able to lay on them, and I didn't have to use the strap. Also, I specifically asked to see some before and after photos during my pre-op visit and was told almost verbatim by the assistant that helped me try on sizes that the Dr does not suggest looking at before and after photos of other breast augmentations because every person is different and I wouldn't want to expect something unrealistic with my body based on before and after photos of someone else. I don't believe I would find myself asking if you had photos if they were placed conspicuously. Further, it doesn't make sense that the assistant would provide an explanation as to why before and after photos of others is not suggested if she could have simply pointed out they are on display...It has been a year since my surgery, so I'm glad there are picture books on full display at this point. If I was happy with my breasts, and if they looked very nice, I would not take time out of my busy life to complain about them. The rude staff and terrible customer service could have been overlooked if I hadn't wasted 6,500 dollars on a terrible, embarrassing result. If you take the time to review my photos on here, please tell me this is a result you are proud of and would duplicate and advertise as your work! The bottom line is I am extremely unhappy and even worse than the wasted money, this was an emotional procedure and recovery and very personal and now I have to go through the whole thing again hoping I might feel like a confident grown woman in a grown woman's body. I don't expect your office to offer me anything except pretentious, rude, terrible customer service and then send me out the door telling me to wait another year before I can love my body.

Wow, I am SO glad I read this. I was going to make a consult with Dr Moore. After seeing your poor results and then to actually have him say they are good, I will definatly not go to him. Thanks for sharing! I hope you find someone that can help you fix them! I didn't think any surgeon would say this was a great result....... I'd like to see him put your before and afters on his website!

((Hugs)) You're a wonderful giver to take the time and share your experiences so others can be warned. I really hope and pray you are happy with your re-augmentation elsewhere and although I can vouch for the friendly consultation experience, you're not the first to mention their [RS bleep] attitudes after operation. It is such an emotional decision, my heart goes out to you for having had such a negative experience. I will be cheering and jumping up and down for you if I hear that you're finally satisfied and happy - - I'll be back to ask more questions of who and how etc. if I don't find it on your profile. Best Wishes!!

I got the Anatomical gummy bear implants by Sientra too in 2014. My surgeon insisted on the anatomical....I have hated them since I saw them too. They look a lot like yours and depending on the angle the photo is taken they sometimes look worse. I wish all us women who hate the gummy bear anatomical implants form that year could get a class action in motion.

I've been wearing a strap on them 24/7 since I wrote my review (the explanation for the strap marks on my skin). They have moved down and softened somewhat. I have been looking at them each day and measuring where they sit. The right breast is almost 1 inch lower on the top, and this is also visible from the bottom where is seems like the right pocket sits lower on the bottom of the breast.

I have been trying to get them to move down a little more, but I'm thinking it's not going to happen. I've researched and spoken with a few plastic surgeons and it looks like a surgical revision is my best bet.

So sorry Erica, I feel for you. I can't believe you were told to lay on them. Crazy! Maybe you should fly out to CA and see my Dr. He specializes in Sientra implants and is a wonderful doctor. From what I've come to know, you have to be extremely skilled to use Sientra implants. They have to be precisely placed and take special care. I hope you end up with a result you are happy with. The last thing I wanted to do was go under the knife again because I was not happy. It's a major surgery and I'm really sad for you. Get a consultation with a new doctor. Don't go back to the same one.

I actually live in California now, what is your doctors name? I have been to a few consults but this time I'm being a lot more selective.

His name is Dr. Micheal Schwartz. He's in Westlake Village. He's awesome, and would right your wrong without a doubt. I wish you the best of luck! Check out my profile, his information is there.

Did you have round or shaped? If shaped, did you have oval, classic, or round base? How many cc's? 3 days ago I got gummy bear. Anatomical, round base with high quality, and texured. 270cc on the left and 320cc on the right.

Never heard about laying on your stomach. Seems wrong.

Thanks for your review. This really helps me in my decision as to which Dr. I will choose. I'm sorry you are going through this. For the Dr. to say the final result was satisfactory does not instill a lot of confidence, as I would not want this to be my final result either... He should "fix" them. (make this right-no charge) There are a lot of great doctors out there that can do a revision. Hopefully you can get some referrals from realself.com. I know I have found so much wonderful info here! (like your review!) Best of luck to you and thanks for sharing!

Mine look exactly like yours and Dr. Schwartz did them. He is very willing to replace for another 2200 after I just payed 8000 7 months ago.
