Chest Reconstruction Went Great. Midlothian, VA

I spent literally years doing my research and trying to find the right surgeon for my chest reconstruction surgery, Dr. Stanwix was recommended to me by a friend who had seen him and liked him. He previously worked with Dr. Fischer, another surgeon I'd been leaning heavily towards, but Dr. Stanwix was in my area and came with a personal recommendation, so I went in for a consultation.

I'm very choosy about my doctors, but I found him to be kind and caring, always willing to explain and go over anything that concerned not just me but also my family who would be caring for me after surgery. Even my mother, a long-time worrier, felt at ease with the procedure and with Dr. Stanwix. He did all of my pre- and post-op exams himself, and talked me through the surgical and healing process with honesty. I definitely never felt like I had been mislead or promised unrealistic results.

I had a small issue after surgery where the knot for the stitches irritated my skin, and he was available to see me on short notice just because I was worried about it. He took care of it right away and I healed up wonderfully. My chest looks great and feels great. It's a massive confidence boost, and I am so much happier and more comfortable. I've even had actual compliments on my surgical outcome!
