Dropping and Fluffing! 6 weeks post op 445 cc Under the Muscle 36 DD
Dropping and Fluffing! I am 6 weeks post op and so far I am loving my rests. I still wake up with a little morning boob but otherwise I am fine. I am using a prescription scar cream and the scars are heading well. They are way under the fold so you can't see them anyway.
I am a 36 DD in Victoria Secret and I've just ordered some from Fredericks of Hollywood and I can't wait to try them on!

I am 43 years old and I have wanted a BA since I was in my 20s. I always figured I'd get one maybe after I had kids. Well, I finally got married, and my marriage lasted 7 years, when I divorced at age 39 (no kids). Money was tight after the divorce; however it is now a few years later and things are much better. Last November I celebrated my 43 birthday and I started to really think seriously about finally getting the BA. I never do anything for myself and I didn't want to go my whole life saying "I should have".
I had been doing research here and there on Drs in Richmond when I came across Dr. Zemmel's website. I was impressed about how comprehensive it was and how every step is laid out. There is also a blog from a patient who talked about her experience with Dr. Zemmel and her healing process which I wondered about. I scheduled my consultation the week of Thanksgiving.
The consultation went great! I met Dr. Zemmel, showed him some pictures and explained what I wanted. He took some measurements and I was able to try on some of the implants under a tank top. He recommended 445 ccs, which I thought sounded big but when I tried them on they were perfect! I asked a bunch of questions about the surgery (he said I needed to go under the fold), ad the healing process, he explained the medications and the fact that I would need to rest a few days afterward. I met with a staff member who went over cost and provided me with an itemized sheet. I told her I was looking after the holidays for January or February. She said call whenever you are ready. I liked the fact that there was NO pressure and NO "hard sell". Everything is provided clearly.
I had my surgery on Feb 29, 2016 at St Frances in Midlothian VA. Two weeks before, I met with Dr. Zemmel to finalize my size, and get my prescriptions. I also has my Pre-admission test at the hospital. On the day of surgery, the nurses and anesthesiologist explained every step of what they would be doing, then Dr Zemmel arrived and drew some lines and asked how I was. I was then wheeled into the operating room and I do not remember anything until they were waking me up. One of my good friends was staying with me and she wrote all of the instructions from Dr. Zemmel and the nurses. I was groggy and some nausea, but no pain.
The next day my friend was driving me to my Day 1 appointment when my bandages would be removed. I actually got up before her, started a pot of coffee and made toast. She was like are you ok? I said I feel fine! Just a little sore. When the bandages came off everything looked great however I was swollen. The fact is that my skin and muscles are thick and tight (not having had children, etc) and would take some time to stretch and grow to accommodate the implants. I took predinsione (5 days) for the swelling, as well as valium and percoscet. I had some soreness the first 3 days and took the rest of the week to myself to relax and watch Netflix. I returned to week that Monday, and since then I have felt great.
I went for my 30 day visit with Dr. Zemmel, and I look and feel great. I feel like these are really my boobs and they're part of my body. I love how I look, and I feel like they look natural and the size is perfect for my body.

Provider Review
Dr. Zemmel and his staff are awesome! They listened to what I wanted, and made professional, and honest recommendations. All of my questions were answered about the surgery, cost, and aftercare. I feel like they treat you as part of their family. I have already recommended several friends to Dr. Zemmel, and I would go back for other procedures I want.
