Poor Result and Incredibly Expensive

I came to see Dr. Bridges because had broken my nose a couple days earlier. Everyone in the office is very nice especially their office manager Mary. We discussed only doing a rhinoplasty as doing both a septoplasty and rhinoplasty in my instance would bring additional risk that we were not comfortable with. Dr. Bridges also expressed concern about doing any procedure in office and he only does procedures in the hospital. The day of the procedure we again review what we will like to do. I was put under anesthesia, the procedure took three times as long as originally estimated and Dr. Bridges had done both a rhinoplasty and septoplasty.

Fast forward 8 months, my nose still is not straight, makes odd crackly noises, and hurts when I move my lips or anything brushes by it. The ultimate kicker to all of this is I'm also strapped with a 15K bill from the hospital. I am so dissatisfied and would not go to Dr. Bridges again.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience. This issue with insurance bills from the hospital is becoming more and more common and is completely out of our control. Getting noses straight after trauma, especially in cases of severe damage to the septum, can be incredibly difficult. The extent of damage to the septum after trauma can be unpredictable and can require extra maneuvers at the time of surgery. I always do what I think is best for patients, and what I think will get the best improvement.
