Three Month Appt

Nothing new at my three month appointment. I had told the nurse about a lump on my elbow, so when the doctor came into the room, he said, so you have a lump on your arm? He said it was scar tissue and I needed to massage it. Then, he said do you have any other questions, as if he was done with me. I said, well, you said when I came back for my three month check-up we would discuss the breast revision. So, he looked and said yeah, I think we can go one size larger on the left and make the aerola smaller on the right. I also asked about the fat under my left arm, so he gave me a quote for lipo and skin removal. It would be $950 for lipo, which does not guarantee results or $1750 for skin removal. I think I am going to hold off and see what it looks like after the larger implant is in place. If my breast were a little wider, I would not be able to see the skin that is bothering me. I figured I can always add that procedure when I have my tummy tuck/thigh lift in December (with a different surgeon). So, as for the revision. I am training for a triathlon right now which is the first weekend in June and then my family will be going to Jamaica the third week in June, so I am looking at June 29th or 30th, but waiting for confirmation on the date. I cannot wait to be done dealing with this surgeon, I just cringe when I have appointments, I hate his bedside manners and feel like just another number versus a patient when I go there....ugh!

3 Month Update

Hello All - tomorrow I will be three months post op! I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow, but could not put off this update any longer. As you know "I'll do it tomorrow" turns into next week and then next month. Not a whole lot has changed since my last update. I continue using scar strips on my arms and really feel they are working because you cannot even feel my scars when you run your fingers over them. They are very light in color, which I am thrilled with!

About a month ago I started my regular exercise routine and though I did have to spend $45 on a good sports bra, I feel great. I am back up to running 3-4 miles and have had no problems what so ever while exercising.

On a side note, as you may have read in a previous post I had bariatric surgery in June 2015. On March 9, which was my 9 month surgiversary, I hit my goal, which was to lose 100 pounds! Whoot-Whoot!!

I am looking forward to what my surgeon has to say tomorrow and what his game plan for my breasts will be. I am 95% pleased with my arms and 75% pleased with my breasts. Does anyone find that their breasts look "rippley" (pretty sure that is not a word) on the top primarily when you bend over. Its like you can see waves.... To me that means there is room to go bigger, which was one of my initial complaints. So, perhaps my skin has stretched enough to go with larger implants now. I'll guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Take care!

Six weeks

Attached are pictures of my brachioplasty scars at six weeks. I can see constant improvement on my scars. I am now using a 7" and a 3" scar strip on each arm, to cover the entire scar. My left arm scar is still numb, but has no pain, so I can deal with that. I made my first visit back to the gym on Monday and that went well. There was only one activity that bothered my arms and that was the inch worm, when I did the walk out portion on my arms, I could feel them stretch, so I just avoided that movement. Hope everyone else is healing well!
