Scared. Only a week between pre-op visit and operation. have not been told to go all-liquid, but I think I'll do that anyway. I think my liver (named Hortense) is pretty fatty. Had lap band five years ago, and feel both I and the lap band failed each other. I lost some weight, have been able to stay off diabetes meds, and stated aquarobics 3x week, but not much more change. Not good at techy stuff, so that rather than vanity or modesty will keep me from posting pictures/videos.

little bit of both. I'm excited to have a second chance, and scared the second chance
won't 'take.' There are a lot of stories on the forum of vsgs who have regained or stopped losing far short of goals. My bariatric center requires a 100 mile drive, so an
online support group seems like a great idea. Thanks for offer.

Going for sleeve tomorrow. The hospital's about 1.5 hours away. Still need to pack bag & watch the hospital's video. Wish me luck or say a prayer for me, whichever you prefer. Or both! ; )

Wow!

No calories since a protein shake Monday. Friday now & I'm not hungry. Mouth bored, but not hungry! The surgery went well, no gas pain, walked pretty soon. Hospital staff wonderful. Home now for 2 days, & only 1 nausea pill needed. My belly looks like Mohammed Ali was using me for a punching bag. Truly spectacular bruises. Looking forward to losing some actual weight, but the forum tells me that may take some time.

Hi! I am 73 yrs old and just read about your recent gastric sleeve surgery - I also had it done (sleeve) a year ago Jan 29th, and am so happy I did! I lost 50 lbs before surgery and around 70 after surgery (around 120 lbs total). I have gone from a size 24-26 (pants) to an 8-10 and in tops, from a 4XL to a medium. I am so much healthier, so much happier, and my confidence level has skyrocketed! I will be praying for you in your upcoming journey, and would like to keep in touch, if you don't mind. Good luck and God bless you! Nancy

Thank you ,Nancy. What's been hardest for you? I'm getting 45-60 grams protein and 40-55 additional clear liquids, taking my vitamins, but I go from energetic to tired and back pain very fast, and start walking badly, bent and almost staggering.
