Dr. Chaiet is a Godsend.

I went to Dr. Chaiet for facial feminization surgery. What he gave me was much more. He was open, he listened actively, he didn’t insert his opinions and did EXACTLY what we had discussed with a level of mastery that I’m in awe of. He truly realizes the gravity of what he’s doing when he’s operating on a trans woman’s face. He’s aware that beyond bone and soft tissue he’s operating on the psyche, on a lifetime of pain and he takes it very seriously. I never felt like a patient, rather I felt like a unique individual who’s desires were understood and met, surpassed even. He’s honest, open, pragmatic and as such refuses to take risks that could have long term effects on health and function. He is, first and foremost, a doctor. His level of empathy was apparent during our follow-up when we both got a little emotional. I’m supremely happy with my results and I owe him a debt of gratitude I can never repay. I cannot speak highly enough of him as a doctor, surgeon or human being. He defines the feeling of “being in good hands.”
