I had been thinking about having Botox to keep the 11s from forming but I waited too late. The lines are there. So to keep them from getting worse, I finally decided to go for it. Another reason was that I was noticing the deep lines when I smile. Those had to go.

My dermatologist recommended I get 20 units total with 2 in between the brows and then one at the top corner of the brows and a couple around the bones. The shots weren't too bad but the ones for the crows feet were more painful than between the brows. They immediately iced it and I had no bruising although I did have some blood on the left side pricks, only.

I did notice small pricks in my face but after an hour those appear to have faded. Nothing a little makeup wouldn't hide.

I will see my dr in two weeks, but I'm hoping to see some effect in the next few days. Next time, I will stop taking baby aspirin and fish oil about 5 days before.

I wouldn't get more than 20 the first time either. Just from reading other reviews. If I ever decide to go for it, that's what I'll do. Thanks for your great review. Glad your reaction went away!

Was it a total of 20 for frown lines AND crow's feet? I am considering trying only for frown lines. I was thinking of 20 for the 11's and just wondered if your full 20 went there or was shared between that area and crow's feet?

7 Hours and a rash/reaction?

I'm having some kind of reaction along my cheeks though not between the brows. Not sure if I should call the Dr's office.

Reaction is down

i did call the dr and she happened to be on call. We discussed it and she said to follow up in the am. The reaction was warm to the touch and looked very red by the time I went to bed. When I woke, it was gone. We are going to hold off on a filler until I see her in two weeks. We will try to figure out what happened. But for now all I have is some mild numbness and a couple prick spots. No noticeable change.

Oh I'm so glad the reaction has subsided! Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Thanks. Any redness has dissipated throughout the day. Those prick spots are pretty noticeable, at least to me. People might think they are just moles or shadows. When I press my '11' I do feel some tenderness. But no where else. 36 hours later and feeling much better after the hives.

I wonder if it could have been a reaction to the numbing cream used. Any type of numbing cream they've used on me turns the area beet red for a period of time after they wash it off.

they didn't use a numbing cream. I had a touch up and no reaction.
