Microneedling Made my Skin Glow!

WORTH IT

In March of 2017, I decided to do a microneedling treatment. My skin was feeling dull and sad after getting not very much sleep (had a 10 month old baby at the time) and due to the weather.

I had always been curious about getting some sort of cosmetic procedure, but I was scared to do anything too invasive and hate the results. After researching for a few weeks, I learned more about microneedling.

They used a microneedling pen that had 16 pins (I believe) and used some numbing cream to make my face nice and numb. I had a great experience because the staff made me feel at ease by joking with me and talking me through the whole process.

After about 15 minutes on the lowest setting, my whole face was numb and they started the procedure. It felt tender around my forehead, nose and upper lip. I was told because that was where you have the most nerve endings. I was able to tolerate the discomfort, it just felt like rubber bands snapping in those areas. I could not feel the other areas at all.

After about 15 more minutes, I was done. I was a tiny bit bloody and my skin looked very flushed. Well, flushed for me because I don't really blush!

I was told to not wear makeup for 12-24 hours after the procedure, but I was bad and didn't listen because I had an event that night. I applied makeup after 8 hours and I wish I had listened.

Once the topical wore off, it felt like a mild sunburn and the air felt very cool against my face. I was surprised at how nice my skin felt.

I felt like my best results were a week after my treatment, my skin was glowing and my minor blemishes had cleared up. I felt like I had a whole new layer of skin and I felt amazing! I liked how soft my skin felt and the whole process was not scary at all. I didn't see much improvement in terms of less wrinkles and fine lines, but I did like the glow that it gave my skin.

I would definitely try microneedling again, but on a higher setting to target more of my fine lines and wrinkles.

How much did it cost? And recovery time?
The after pic is after makeup. So you cannot compare this way.
my thoughts exactly, not to mention she is young and lovely with no make up on in the before photo already!
Agree 100%....make up on the after pic only serves to suggest that the true results are far less significant.....too many providers do this. It is not a fair comparison...not Apple's to Apple's
Thanks for sharing!!!

Hard to see the difference from the photos ( I think the camera has to be very close)

What kind of serums did u apply?
It doesn’t work save your money
Microneedling is a huge lie to make money of us. Women who try to sell it to other women should be punished by law. It’s so disappointing that some people would do anything for money. I know my comment won’t stop anyone from spending their money with this treatment but At least I know i did what’s right. After you try it,do leave your real opinin here. It’s better than than not doing anything or lieing anyway! Women united
