RF micro-needling disappointed
I have had 3 sessions of RF microneedling, each session was followed by a Cool Peel laser treatment. My last session was six weeks ago. I'm 50 years old. I got the procedures to address rough texture. I have the same problems most women my age have: sagging skin, wrinkles, etc. I wasn't looking for any miracles regarding the wrinkles or sagging skin, I figure only surgery will correct those issues. The treatments were definitely painful, but I was able to tolerate it with no numbing or pain meds. I had redness and sandpaper texture for a few days after each session.
I wish I had more dramatic results. I can see my skin tone is more even and my skin has a bit of a "glow". As for texture? I don't think there has been any improvement. If there has, it's so subtle that I don't notice it. Definitely no improvement in wrinkles or sagging. I don't feel this is the fault of my providers. They were knowledgeable and worked hard for me to get a good result. Maybe my expectations were too high. I don't know. For what I paid and for the pain I endured, I expected something more dramatic. I had MUCH better results when I started on Retin A when I was in my 30's. Lesson learned.
