I had Agnes RF for fat reduction in the lower jowls. Now, 10 days after I still have swelling, but the concerning part is the area above where was treated looks sunken. The person that did the Agnes says they did not go up that high on my cheek, but I am still noticing hollowing/sinking. I am very concerned. Is it possible for the energy to affect areas near the treatment area? Can RF energy travel to unintended areas? You should also expect weeks of swelling, not days.

Hi, how did your treatment turn out in the end

I have a similar issue where i noticed a sunken cheek just 3 days afterwards. There is virtually no jowl reduction at day 7, and I am skeptical that any will occur. And although the literature is abundant professionals suggesting at least 2 weeks/months before any results are apparent, my intuition tells me that is often quoted so to relieve them of the burden of any customers who may potentially become unhappy with the outcome of the procedure. I believe Agnes RF can work, but it depends on proper application

Unfortunately, years later, and my cheeks never returned to normal. A doctor told me it could have affected a ligament or caused scar tissue. A cosmetic nurse thought it simply dropped the cheeks, b/c removing fat from the bottom of the face can have an effect like removing the foundation from a building. I began to use fillers to try to get the lift and projection on my cheek that I once had. Removing fat from the face is very serious, it is not a game, and medispas should not have access to technology that is capable of killing fat on the face. It is just too risky and unpredictable, IMO. RF and filler dissolver are two things that seem to get devastating outcomes when it goes wrong. I'm sorry you are dealing with this too. Maybe filler can help disguise the issue, or a conservative lift. There are "jawline tucks" that can conservatively resolve loose skin. Dr Mascaro in FL does those types of lifts.

My cheek has still not returned to a normal position or gained the same projection it once had. I am wondering if perhaps a ligament in the jawline was burned and the injury is not allowing my cheek muscle to raise as it once did. I asked a Board Certified PS on Youtube if they thought it possible that a ligament was hit, and they said it is possible. There was a painful dent on my jawline, beside my jowl afterwards which is where an important ligament runs. I am so upset with this treatment.

Im day 3 (went for jowls) and im noticing the same thing on cheek area on right side. Cheek looks sunken. Actually doesn't look too bad IMO (I'm male, and it gives a chiseled look to the face), but the problem is that it doesn't look even with other side.
