Micro-needling Ruined my Skin

Tough947242
So I went in to a Beauty clinic to talk about getting mint threads to help my drooping eyebrows, I am only 23 but a lot of people think I look thirty so i wanted to change this. I was then advised to get a microneedling treatment even though i specifically wanted mint threads i was persuaded to microneedling as this was a 'natural' way of rejuvenating my face. I got it done and i immediately noticed very enlarged pores which i thought would calm down in a few months. Its been a few months and I now have fine lines all under my eyes, huge pores or holes, different texture to my skin and I am now so depressed I haven't even been outside the house in the last month. I wish I never got this treatment and i was not advised that this could happen. Seeing the reviews now i wish i stood my ground and got the mint threads that i went in for. the photo I attached doesnt really show the damage, but when the right light hits my face its looks horrible!
Does anyone know how to deal with this? Help please

I think our skin looks fine, may be get some microdermabrasion or carbon laser facial to make the pores plump out from within. I also have some holes left on sides of my lower face from micro needling which was done too deeply. Hope you are feeling better about it all. x

I'm so sorry and understand how you feel. I posted an update about how I have been treating the damaged caused to my skin from microneedling. Everyone's skin is different, but maybe something there will help.

Look into led light therapy mask for at home at the lowest setting and wear tanning bed glasses

Honestly, lucky you don't have the mint threads as well. See reviews for facial threads as it's definitely not the answer for droopy eyelids let alone any thread to be inserted underneath the skin. it'd cause inflammation and scar tissues. As for the microneedling, what was the spec the therapist was using ie. needle length and strength. i was also scared when doing my first dermapen due to many many bad cases on this website BUT honestly it did transform the skin. i think the brand of the pen itself does matter as there;re sooo many brands out there. initially i urged my derm to use dermastamp but then he luckily forced me to jump to Dermapen. the result was wayyy much better and to my surprise does not painful at all unlike the Dermastamp! the needle could only be used once as well with Dermapen so it stays sharp and more hygienic. The second time the derm did Dermastamp, I could fill the needle's getting blunt and not smoothly coming in and out of my skin. So yeah that's from my own experience. How is your result with the Clearlift? hopefully there's a new pic soon :)

Hello! the clear lift actually removed some of the lines initially but they have come back i have my next one in a week, it works on rebuilding the dermis, im hoping to rebuild my skin from with in and then get a couple of peels to show the strength underneath. as for those open pores, im hoping the clear lift will solve most of it but if not i will look into the TCA cross to repair any micro-tearing that has occurred inside the pores

2-3 Months passed, and things have gotten worse, but my barrier is repairing

Tough947242
So its been about 2-3 months now and i think I have seen the worst of it now, I had extremly dry skin and inflammation with severe transepidermal water loss (which they dont tell you transepidermal is a side effect of this procedure) I now have larger pores with lines connecting between them and and so many more dynamic lines that the camera just cant capture. My barrier had completly broken down is slowly rebuiling thanks to the naked chemists biolip and h20 serums, so the skin is feeling softer rather than rough and dry but I am still left with the large pores and texture issues + scarring. Ive been getting "ClearLift" to help with the elasticity and I am thinking of getting PRP to try and repair some of the damage what do you all think? has anything worked with any of you? has anyone tried a phenol peel to completly start there skin from scratch? or have peel worked for anyone? In time I will be getting a fat transfer as ive lost alot of volume under my eyes and cheeks

I think that my now enlarged pores might be due to the elasticity breaking down? Do you guys think that if i got this tightened with plasma skin tightening it will improve this orange peel?

Also since the pores most likely have microtears, then maybe TCA cross treatment will work?

Sounds like your treatment was too aggressive (did you do combination therapies on the same day?). I what you describe is resulting from prolonged inflammation. That will resolve but will take time. Make sure you aren’t using surfactants and emulsifiers. Work on your skin barrier and calming the inflammation. Once you are all calmed go to someone who is trained my Dr Lance Setterfield. He teaches how to be effective but safe. Overly aggressive treatments provoke negative effects

Do not do tca peel. This is what first ruined my skin, then I went to microneedling and it damaged my skin really bad. Maybe u can try a vitamin c serum with cetaphil lotion after. Then u can transition to aveeno lotion face lotion with sp5

I have no idea what you're talking about. Your skin looks plenty elastic, I don't see a pore in sight.

Progress I'm unsure

Tough947242
So I had my second treatment of clearlift to help repair the dermis and and a couple days ago I had prp under my eyes and on my forehead where most of the damage was done. I have one more session of clearlift and and two more sessions of prp. This is what I am looking like atm, my elasticity issues are definitely better! Pores are still bigger than they used to be and some scarring present but this is only day two of prp
