Not So Worth It!
$600
So my last microneedling session was on July 15, 2019. Today is August 29, 2019 & I feel like my face has went back to what it was before I ever did any microneedling session. Very disappointing :-(. With that being said, I do not recommend nor will I be doing anymore sessions! So freaken depressing how I just threw money out the window!!

My Post Microneedling Regimen
My Dermatologist suggested taking an oral collagen and a topical collagen to help my face replenish the collagen in my face. Also, need to drink tons of water because after all, water is best for the skin! Keep ya posted a few months from now to show you how my face is doing!

You look amazing. I also suffered from acne and scarring. It’s awful to your self esteem. I’m so happy you found something that worked. Lots of other things you can do for this problem in this day, but not when I was a kid
How is your skin doing after some more time has passed?
Hi Torey, I feel like my face has went back to what it was before I ever did any microneedling session. Very disappointing :-(. With that being said, I do not recommend nor will I be doing anymore sessions!

On second thought...
So it’s been exactly a week post 3rd microneedling session and here is what my face looks like. Looks like my holes came back but worse now because I have am suffering from hyperpigmentation as you can see! I don’t think that will spend another $200 to do a 4th microneedling session now that I see how my face looks. I’ve spent a total of $600 so far since this procedure is not covered by insurance. Not too happy right now. I’ll give it 6-8 weeks and provide an update if there’s improvement. With that being said, every person is different. I have a caramel complexion so a person with fair skin may receive different results. Sorry, I don’t know at this point if I would recommend microneedling.

I am curious if you did this in a Dr.'s office. $200 a session sounds extremely cheap. I paid almost 3x as much qnd J see results after my first session.
Do the next one. I think it looks great.
I don’t even have makeup on in any of my photos. When I do wear make-up, it sucks coz I can see the dark spots :-(
I had the same issue with my 4th treatment, the areas of scarring were absolutely more inflamed (she used deeper needles). My doc says it takes 3-4 months to see the full result from each session so you can see if you like the results 3-4 months AFTER your last session. I hope you're feeling better now that it's been a few more days!
Ok, I’ll wait a few months before I start getting depressed. It’s only been about 2wks now since my 3rd session.
Agree with above, mine was $550 per session with a skinpen
So I had hyperpigmentation from microneedling too! It is awful & that was what I was trying to get rid of! I have been treating the hyperpigmentation with glycolic acid 20% because my skin is very used to it & vitamin C alternating them. It has already helped a lot! The hyperpigmentation is still there but it is so much lighter & I can see it is starting to break up & instead of being 3 big spots they are now lots of small ones. I took like 10 vit C pills, crushed em up & added water then drained the white powder out. I'm not one to spend major money on skin treatments as I have been doing my own peels & things for years. I'm 48 & people think Im 30. I know what Im doing. I research & research & thought I would try the microneedling to get rid of the small hyperpigmentation I had & ended up looking like someone beat me badly from all the new. Super disappointing. I will stick to my own routine from now on! I know what Im doing!
Where do you get glycolic acid?
It doesn't run me under $10.99 that's exactly what it costs for 2oz & shipping is free. Great price & a very reputable company!
Aww, thank you. Having acne scarring definitely has ruined my self-esteem. I am still feeling insecure because I see holes on my face still. Well, my dermatologist told me i won’t be 100% back to my pre-acne days. He is suggested Accutane but I’ve been reading up on it and not really feeling those side effects. What do you think about Accutane??

Its a tough road isn't it. I would suggest to give it more time. I know its hard. But the skin healing road is a long one. July - August thats only a month. The skin needs more time to heal.
I know thats not what you want to hear. Trust me I know. I had great skin all my life and then at 31 BAM acne cystic everywhere. I'm left with a face ravaged by the diesase and fighting everyday to go out confidently. To top it off I'm an actor and model. So its affected my work life as well as my daily self-esteem.
All I can say is give it more time.
And for what its worth, I really don't think your scars are as bad as you think they are. But I know its hard to hear that.
Sending you so much love and know that there is nothing you can't do, skin is just a casing for our wonderful selves within.
No one will be judging you as harshly as you judge yourself.
Love,
Amelia
