Microneedling RF Gone Wrong

Microneedling RF Gone Wrong

$500
After a brief consult with my dermatologist regarding skin concerns- aging, laxity, acne scars on lower face and neck she recommended RF Micro. I went in for the first session- only 2 passes at levels 12 and 13 and then asked we hold off on pass 3 to be on the conservative side. I wasn’t given any written post procedural instructions, and only advised on when to resume retinol use after asking the PA directly before she left the room. The aesthetician did a calming treatment and handed me a bag of skincare samples- verbal directions basically “cold compresses, no harsh soaps, use sunscreen”. 10 days later, I still look like I just had the treatment. Grid marks, redness, irritation. Is this permanent damage? I advise anyone researching this to understand it is a major procedure. I was given no pre procedure directives nor cautioned at this possibility. Be safe yall

I had Sylfirm X and it ruined my face. It's been two months and I've aged so much to the point I don't recognize myself. Radio frequency microneedling is definitely a major procedure!
I had sylfirm x few days before and never knew about fat loss. I am really scared now, after all i read
It's either the heat is set too high or the needle paused for too long while inside the skin leaving those marks.
This is temporary damage. My advice is too use plenty of skin lightening creams like vitamin C serum or kojic acids or arbutin cream. You may rotate this day and night. I will take a few months to fade those marks completely. Remember to use Sunblock too.
same reaction you had. My neck and skin literally looks just like yours!!! I'm curious did your raised bumps eventually go away and the redness!? I have little squares all over my face. Please respond. It would mean so much knowing what helped or if any advice given did help!!
Omg I'm in the same boat only I did it myself (bought morpheus8 machine) I'm so scared that I cause permanent damage from doing too many passes to my face to wear I spend about 8 to 9 hours a day looking in the mirror crying I just need to know if this is permanent or in Three 6 months it'll grow back answer me PLEASE!
So at the 1 year mark, I have raised red areas still under one side of my jaw- they are easily concealed with light makeup and not super apparent from a distance. My neck skin will show redness and the faint areas of where the rf laser was on me if I'm dehydrated or hormonal etc. From the chin up most of the damage is gone. 95% healed I'd say. But ask for Clobetasol to calm the inflammation. Use it 2 weeks on 2 weeks off daily. But not long term. After 6 weeks you can try to get on a low strength tretinoin/HA/niacimide nightly regimen and vitamin c serum morning. Resurfacing the skin slowly is your best bet. But remember it takes 40 days for new skin cells to emerge. So it's a process.
Hi, I’m having the same issue! Did the squares on your face go away? Any recommendations? Thank you!
I sympathize completely. I had RF microneedling a year ago and am still dealing with the side effects. The general consensus was the surgeon had the laser on too high of a settling. The track marks have faded for the most part but it was tough going for awhile and I still have a long road ahead. I try to do something once a month - usually alternating between VI Peels, prp facials and IPL láser. SPF is an absolute must. I have cried so much about this that I’m on the other side of it now. I really just keep moving forward and try to work on healing my skin. The physical scars are hardly noticeable but underneath, my long time facialist (who still gets upset when she sees me) said there is massive trauma. It makes me sad too but just keep working to resurface your skin.

RF Microneedling is a major thing and not to be taken lightly. The surgeon I went to used Morpheus.
I am 3 days post micro RF and my skin has red raised squares all over my face and neck in the track of the microneedling device. Did yours get any better?? Any recommendations? I’m so upset!
