Microblading UPDATE
$346
Hello again, so, it’s been over two months since I got my eyebrows microbladed and damn, how it has been a hell of a rollercoaster ride. All the stressing and worrying about wether I had ruined my face or if it’ll all be okay, it was horrible. But to get to the point- they’re gone. I’ll add a picture below, but yeah, they’re gone. Apart from a little bit of a shadow and a few strokes that have stayed, they have faded out completely. And I didn’t do anything about it. No crazy baking soda and water peroxide mixes, no scrubbing, no picking off the scabs, no removals, nothing. All I did was follow the aftercare instructions, waited for them to heal and just followed my normal skincare routine. How? You may ask. Was it the salon/lady that didn’t go deep enough with the blade? Was it my skin that rejected the pigment? I don’t know. Am I happy? Yes and no. I’m happy that they have faded so significantly to the point- I don’t mind them anymore. But I’m just really really dissapointed for spending €300 and ending up with pretty much nothing. In my case, if I had known what I know now, I never would have gotten them done. So if you got them done recently and are worrying about them just as much as I was, keep in mind that there is still a chance that they’ll fade as much as mine did.

Microblading / Removal
Hello my fellow microbladed people. I got my eyebrows microbladed about 6 days ago and I thought since there are so many stories on here on peoples healing experiences I would share mine as well. It has been a rough 6 days, I can tell you that much. The moment I walked into the salon where I got them done I was so excited, I couldn’t wait to walk out the door with perfect brows who needed no time in the morning at all. But when the lady that microbladed them showed me the mirror I absolutely HATED them. They were not the shape I asked for, and (ofcourse) they were super dark! They were not badly done, but not my personal preference. All I wanted was to go home and cry, and on the way home started my research on how to fade them, remove them and just get rid of them as quickly as possible. I read about DIY salt salutions, hydrogen peroxide mixes, baking soda, toothpaste, retinol creams, just about anything. It was very tempting to go to the drugstore and buy all of those. (Don’t do it though) The next day I think I contacted about 30 salons on their opinion on how to fade them. I even contacted dermatolagists, people who do laser removal, and then I started looking into something called phiremoval. It’s a method they use where they put some sort of removal liquid in you skin that will lift the pigment out. They do it the same way you get microbladed, with tiny “cuts”. I have had contact with a few masters and royal artist who do it. (There are levels in their Academy, as far as I know a royal artist is someone who has had the training and has been doing it for a year with succes, and a master is someone who is very experienced and gives training to other artists in how to do it) But I have been getting a lot of mixed signals. Some say I must wait a month to about 6 weeks, so my skin is completely healed. Others say I can come and get them removed when the scabs have fallen off (which btw, you should not pick at. You risk getting scars!! If you have scars, they will not be able to remove them, so please, just don’t!!!) but the advice that I got the most is to just wait, and let them heal properly. That maybe, in a few weeks I’ll like them and won’t be as bothered by them. Which I hope is true, because in that case I wouldn’t have wasted my money. But I doubt it. A good reason to wait a little as well is because everyone is different. In my case, I have pretty oily skin in my T zone. Because of that reason the pigment is likely to fade faster, or maybe not even stay in my skin at all. What’s also something to note is that I found the procedure to be not painful at all. I was NOT numbed because of that, it was a little annoying, but not painful. Which might be an indication that my microblading artist did not reach that “sweet spot”, as they call it, in my skin (Dermal epidermal layer I think was the name for it) and that could be another reason for the pigment to not hold. And of course, everybody’s pain tolerance is different, but she plucked some eyebrow hairs away and man, my eyes were tearing like crazy. I thought that was about 10 times more painful than the microblading (Tiny cuts??? In your skin???) So yeah, this was what I found so far. I will keep you guys updated on what’s best– the six weeks wait, or the two weeks wait. My healing experience. How I will get them removed– and if I will get them removed. Since there is still a possibility that I will like them, or not even have them anymore in a couple of weeks. So if you’re in the same position as I am right now, what I found is best is to just let them heal. Follow the aftercare instructions you were given. I know it’s hard, but if you don’t you risk damaging your skin so badly. You’ll have more problems to deal with than when you started out. Keep tight, lots of luck, Iris

I too was very excited to get my eyebrows microbladed. I was encouraged by many who said I would love them. Well I had them done yesterday and was horrified at my appearance in the mirror. They are way too thick for my liking and way too dark. The technician spent a lot of time drawing the shape and position. When I commented on the outline looking too thick, I was assumed that it was only the marker making it look that way and she would be working inside the lines. I am on day 2 and trying not to panic. I keep reading to wait till they heal and they should shrink and fade somewhat. I am waiting hopefully..
Hey, ladies I’m in the same boat. Have they healed ? Are they less darker? Do you like them now?
