Microblading Day 14

Just a little update to the healing progress of my microbladed eyebrows. They are healing exactly as I was told - first few days they were very dark. About day 4 they began to scab, though this was not visably noticable; it was only noticable to the touch. This lasted another 3 or 4 days, and by weeks end, my brows were beginning to lighten. By about day 8 or 9, they were much lighter, almost (but not quite) like they were before the microblading. This was explicitly mentioned to me by Tammy, who stated that the brows would seem to "disappear". It is now 14 days post, and they are beginning to return. Within another two weeks, my brows should come back to their perfect beauty they were on day 1. Still loving them! And it's been wonderful not to have to do anything to them to get ready for my day. I have gotten so many compliments on them. I will post again in a week or so. Definitely a great decision to have microblading done!

Microblading 48 hours post

Hi all! I meant to update this yesterday - one day post microblading - but time got away from me. Beginning 24 hours after microblading, my eyebrows became considerably darker and less detailed, which falls perfectly with the healing process that Tammy described to me. 24 hours post, my eyebrows were also a little sore - like a sunburn - but not painful, and were a little red, particularly around the borders. Today, 48 hours post, most of the slight redness has disappeared, but they remain dark, and less detailed. They also feel like a bit rough, as the scabbing/healing process has begun. I have been following the regime in my post instructions, which includes gently washing them twice a day with Neutrogena bar soap and cold water, patting dry, and applying the tattoo cream given to me. I will continue this regime through day 4 post. I was told the next step would be for the brows to scab a bit, and flake, which will continue from about day 4 - 10. I will post another update in a couple days, or as there are changes to my brows. I am still happy with my brows, but cannot wait to see the finished product in a few weeks! PS it is already sooo nice not to have to do my brows each day! :)

Dream Eyebrows

I had been researching eyebrow microblading for about 2 years before selecting one, and before I actually made the appt to go. I just turned 50, and my eyebrows, are no long full enough to shape into a perfect shape to frame my eyes, and just were looking sparse. With an upcoming week long Caribbean sailing trip coming up, when I won't be wearing makeup, now was the perfect time get them done.
I cannot say enough praise for MM Permanent Cosmetics, and especially for Tammy. She is extremely knowledgable, and professional about her craft, and she is a true artist. She took the time to go over the whole process, in detail, answer all of my questions (of which, I had many), and select the brow shape and color specifically for me, based on the shape of my face, and the natural shape/growth of my brows, yet she did exactly, what I was seeking. It's like she new the brows I had been born with (only better)! She made me feel completely at ease with her knowledge, her professionalism, and her easy going personality. The office, itself, was spotless, and comfortable, with a welcoming staff, and Tammy's technique was perfectly aesthetic.
As for the procedure of microblading, after Tammy had gone over the process and answered my questions and brow goals, she drew my eyebrows on, with small strokes, just like the microblading would be done. Once I approved the shape, she cleaned my brows, and begun the microblading. She makes the first set of stokes before applying the anesthetic (this assists the efficacy of the anesthetic). This was completely tolerable, but not without some discomfort (it felt like little scraps). Then she applied the local anesthetic with gauze (no additional needles here), and in a couple minutes, when she continued the microblading, I didn't feel anything sharp. Both brows took about 20 minutes to complete; the entire office visit took about 1 hour and 15 minutes, start to finish.
I plan to continue updating this review, through the healing process and touch up, which I go back for in 6-8 weeks.
Microblading is permanent, and it's on your face, so it is so important to find a reputable professional, with the skills and practices to give you a safe, healthy experience, and the brows of your dreams. Tamara Ferrigno at MM Permanent Cosmetics is that professional. I highly recommend her. I will trust my brows to no one else now.
The photos I've included are in pairs - before/after, before/after, on today, day one. I will post more through the healing process.
