67 year old in need of EYEBROWS

I've never had noticeable eyebrows, and I didn't pluck much as a teenager, but as I've aged (I'm 67) they've become more and more sparse, tapering away altogether after the arch. For years I just ignored them, thinking mascara and eyeshadow were adequate, but looking at photos as I've grown older, I began to believe I would look better overall with some eyebrows. I experimented with various pencils and liked the results, but noticed my efforts generally wore off by late afternoon, so I began to look for more permanent options and read about microblading. I read a lot of reviews before choosing a practitioner. I got lucky and found someone who is very near where I live, but the patient before me had driven all the way from Louisiana. Casey recommended I have my brows tinted before doing the procedure. The first half hour was spent browsing magazines while letting a numbing cream take effect. She then tinted my brows (which offered immediate improvement) and then took very careful measurements of my face and drew in my brows, while I was lying down but also having me sit up to see what effects gravity has on my face. I was happy with what she proposed so I lay back down and she began doing the procedure, explaining what she was doing during each step. I could feel the microblade but it didn't really hurt. The entire procedure took about 90 minutes, from the time I walked in the door. I'm scheduled to go back in a month for a follow up (an additional charge that I'm quite willing to pay). Casey told me my brows would be very dark for the first couple of days after which they'll begin to fade, so I wasn't shocked by the "Now Voyager" effect when I looked in the mirror immediately after the procedure. My pre-microbladed brows were extremely asymmetrical and Casey has totally corrected that. I'm glad I've had this done, and recommend it for anyone whose brows are less than perfect. I'll post more pics in a month, after my brows have faded and I've had a touch up.

Here's a Day 3 update. When I looked in the mirror this morning, my eyebrows appeared to me to be exactly the same as they were immediately after the procedure; however, I can see from this selfie that they're fading a bit (as they should). I am SO glad I had this done.

You look amazing. You were already a young looking 67 but having eyebrows seems to have made you look even younger! Please keep us posted.

On June 1, 2017, I went in for a final touch up. The pic below was taken in July 2017, in Colorado. Other than lipstick and eyelash extensions, I'm wearing no makeup. I love my microbladed eyebrows. If you're thinking of having this done, the most important thing is to find a technician who has a good eye, which means you must see at the very least dozens of photos of his or her work. And remember that at first you'll look like Bette Davis at the beginning of Now Voyager, but don't be alarmed, because the dye will fade. This was expensive, but worth every penny to me.

Yours are the best I've seen. Just beautiful! The angle is better than most-more modern & natural.

Very nice, love the shape and color! Thanks for sharing -- I'll keep an eye out for your updates.
Realself has been very helpful to me in the past year when I did a procedure for a lower face waddle. Communication with other women has been so helpful. I would like to get my eyebrows done now since they have disappeared and are rubbed off by my sunglasses. It's a battle I'd like to solve.
