Dermaceutic Spot Peel - Saginaw, MI

UPDATED FROM Stella25

Update

$300
It's been 2 years and 3 months since the peel. It's hard to know where to begin. It damaged my skin. It's still very crepey and has an orange peel texure on my cheeks and side of peel. I've tried various products over time with no visable improvement. I'm sure my age and hormones played a factor in the out come of the peel (menopause) but with that said I was only the second person my skin technician gave this type peel to and she layered it 3 times and I believe it was just too much. Imo. I saw her one time after the peel and she threw me under the bus and said I did it to myself and really wrote some disparaging comments in my patient progress notes. With that said and moving on from that I just want to say I always thought I was so careful with skin treatments. Same person who I thought knew my skin and never anything drastic. I never thought this could happen to me but it did. I continue to be hopeful and just starting using TNS essential serum. Which is crazy expensive. I am going to use it for 90 days to see if I have any improvement. I will repost at that time.

I just looked up TNS essential serum and it is crazy expensive but it said it smooths wrinkles and regenerates skin cells. I would love to know how it is working and if is worth the price.
post again . thanks

I think I have had some minor improvement with the serum vs. other products I have tried. Mind you I am very cautious and have avoided any professional procedures since my peel. Those days are behind me of trusting anyone to improve my skin. I did purchase a .5 derma roller in May and after rolling I use the tns recovery complex. The tns serum after rolling stung my skin. I am going cautiously. Needling once every 10 to 14 days. So far nothing bad. From what I have read it can take months of needling to see results. I buy the tns from lovely skin.com when it's on sale. Be wary of where you purchase it from. To answer your question yes for me it has been worth the price. To get it to last I place a small pump on a product spatula, wet my face and apply the serum. I use it only on my face. Stupid peel by Ziba medical spa has ended up costing me a fortune. Not to mention I can be reminded of it every time I face a mirror.
Hi there,
You will need to use your at home roller 3x a week to see results. I would also recommend getting LED red light treatments - no downtime, no damage risk. And despite being very (understandably) hesitant to undergo anything active; I would suggest you begin introducing a pure and high quality retinal into your routine twice a week, building up to every night (vitamin a is the only proven ingredient to enter a cell and actually repair damaged dna)
Best of luck :)
I know this is an older post, but I’m just so hurt for you. It sounds to me like this technician took absolutely no responsibility for her role in what ended up happening to you. She just left you standing there holding the bag as if you performed the peel yourself. Makes me mad. She needed to be supportive instead of refusing to see that maybe she didn’t quite know what she was doing, and made some mistakes.. I’m so sorry this happened, and hope you’re doing better all this time later.

Had my first Dermaceutic Spot Peel 10 weeks ago...

Had my first Dermaceutic Spot Peel 10 weeks ago and my last. It was such a horrible experience I will never undergo a peel again.

For 11 years I have had other peels done such as Glytone and Jessner to help with acne and acne scars and never had an issue. My spa tech recommended the spot peel and said it was a new peel and encouraged me to try it for discoloration on some areas of my face.

I had the peel done and two days later I was horribly red and burnt beyond belief. I called my spa tech and she said not to panic and just keep using the moisturizing product which I did. My skin just didn't gently flake has it has done with prior peels she has used on me. It peeled off in sheets this time and stayed sunburnt red for 5 days.

Now I am left with very crepy skin on parts of my face. Just like a party streamer. It has aged me 10 years and left my skin very dry and wrinkled.

I've experience dryness with my other peels but my skin always recovered within 2 weeks and appeared improved. I went to a dermatolgist last week and he told me that some peels can cause extreme dryness and that my skin should recover in a few months. I hope it does. I usually read and researchh peels and/or products before I try or buy but I failed to do my homework on this one. I would avoid this peel.

I followed the instructions to the letter. I even emailed the company that manufacturers the peel to inform of this and never heard back.

It's very disappointing.

Oh no :( Have you considered going to visit a dermatologist to see what they would advise to try to help with your skin?

I went to a dermatologist and he recommended Cerave moisturizer. My skin actually looks thermal damaged just by the texture. He said it is not a chemical burn. Usually after a chemical peel my skin looks improved but my pores are larger now etc. My skin has never looked this way before so I am concerned it won't recover. One thing the derm did say is that he has seen this happen from time to time after peels and with newer peels. I am just giving my skin a break now. I am only using mild cleansers and a moisturizer in the morning and at night. I will see if I improve and post again after a few months. Thank you.

Yes, please let us know what comes of this. I'll be hoping your skin heals up soon!

I can see this happened some time ago, have your skin recovered properly? I have some similar problems after milk peel treatment and products I was told to use post treatment.
Some improvement. Nothing drastic. My skin looks like it has been scarred from a burn. And it was burned.
