I’m so excited! I decided to stay in a hotel near the office after reading horrible reviews on the RH that spectrum promotes. I wanted to look into hiring a private nurse when I get down there. I have a friend coming to help that lives in Miami the day of surgery. I fly in on, Oct 29th!

Oh wow I wish we would have spoken sooner we could have been roomies, I’m staying at their rh seems ok already paid my deposit which is no refundable :-( I just hate that I have to keep calling & calling to see what’s going on, did u get your labs done already?

I hate they make their deposits non refundable. The reviews I’ve read on them is not good. I have done my labs and got the clearance from my doctor. I keep things short and simple with my coordinator, however she does reply to me the same day I email her. I’m ready to go. I’m just waiting on the 29th so I can board my flight. I live in Florida so my flight is short :)

Who is your coordinator? I have the labs phone number if you need it. They called me looking for my doctors clearance signature.....that was on the last page of the fax (they skipped over it)! I don’t feel like they’re very organized at times, but I hear Dr. Dowbak is a booty goddess.

Liz is my coordinator, she’s awesome when I actually get to talk to her, they are very unorganized, I haven’t got any returns calls, I wanted to know was my labs ok, so I can schedule an appt. with my physician to get clearance, I’m hoping I don’t have to reschedule :-( Dowbak is wonderful from what I hear it’s just the staff at spectrum that kinda sucks, can u give me the number to the lab o would really appreciate it, I wish I was in Florida I’m coming from Chicago flight is 3 hours, so I’m praying the ride back won’t be so horrible

This is the labs number ‭(786) 220-5477‬. I would go ahead and schedule your appointment with your doctor. Far as labs go. No news is good news. They said they’d call if something was wrong. I never heard back from them. I emailed my coordinator yesterday and she said they had everything they needed. I just needed to know to ease my mind. Is your flight already booked?

I did get a ekg. Did they send you the form for your doctor to fill out? If so make sure your doctor highlights the part where he clears you. From my experience they overlooked the bottom of the page where my doctor wrote I was clear. If you have any questions or help I got you. I’ve done a lot of research! This is my 4th elective procedure so I’m pretty good on what I need to do

I know I’m so late it’s been a busy day, I talk to someone from the lab & what I figured my hemoglobin is low but not that much, I had started taking my iron supplements Sunday so I gotta retest on the 23rd, hopefully I’m good by then, I scheduled my appt with my physician but it’s not til next wed I wanna try to get something sooner, Have u gotta all your supplies?

I’m so glad they got that figured out for you. I’m sure with some iron supplements you’ll be good to go. One more week and you’ll be cleared!! That’s exciting. I have all my “must haves” supplies. I’m slowly buying up the extra stuff that I don’t really need, but will make my life easier. Do you have everything? There’s a list on our contract but it was so generic

Lol it is so generic, I got all my basic supplies, my friends are nurses so I really didn’t have to pay for anything on that list, I bought a couple dresses & the scar gel & bio oil, I’m wondering if it’s really necessary for me to get the booty pillow?

You can use a yoga mat rolled up. I have a boppy pillow for my car. I also have a pool donut I’m going to sit in when I’m tired of laying on my stomach:) im creative lol. I can’t see myself being on my stomach 24/7

Man you’re a freaking genius lol, I actually have a boppy pillow at home my baby is 1 now so she don’t need it, think I can use that for my flight home, I really wanna cancel my stay at the recovery house, did u find a place & a nurse yet?

I’m bringing my pillow with me for my flight home :)) I haven’t found a private nurse yet. My husband may drive down to Miami to help me out if I need it. We live in the panhandle of Florida, so it’s going to suck, him driving for 9 hours when I’m flying. I’m praying that the surgery won’t be as bad as it sounds, and I’ll just need help for a day or two. I was reading reviews on the RH and some women have said that, they did not get “real meals”. There was also a lot of complaints on how long they had to wait for a ride for appointments and that they felt like they were bothering the women when asking for help. I personally can not tolerate feeling that way when I pay someone for their services. The hotel I have seems nice, I have a restaurant within the hotel, along with room service if I’m too uncomfortable to go anywhere to grab food. Hopefully your experience will be better than theirs and you’ll enjoy your recovery!!

I would hate to have spent so much money & I don’t get what I’m paying for, Cuz I see a lot of complaints from rh now wish i would have did more research, if I can find a reasonable hotel closer to the center then I’m going to just do that

I’m actually paying less for my hotel and there’s a fridge in my room, but I’m staying in Miami 5 nights, instead of the 7 the house offers. :) I’m going to the grocery store, buying food and I’ll be good. Check with bookit.com. I found a really good deal on there.

I googled private nurses. Read a lot of review and stumbled on a lady on Instagram. Her name is MsNursley on IG. I DMed her. Waiting on a reply. I’m right behind the surgeons office. I can literally walk to my appointment. The hotel has a bus that takes you to and from the airport.

The nurse messaged me. She charges $150 per day, for 5-6 hours.

Everything is probably filling up. Hopefully you’ll have a better experience then the other women have. Positive thoughts!!

I hope so, I paid my balance today gonna call Monday to see if I can get an earlier appt to see my pcp, I’m excited but stressed a little still for a few things to get

That’s exciting :) Your pcp appointment will be simple. He or she will ask you a series of questions. Their job is just to make sure your heart is strong enough for surgery. I’m sure you’ll be fine :) the EKG will last a total of maybe 30 seconds after they have you all hooked up. They just need one line of you heart beat. What all is left on your must haves list? I still have to get a few things, but I’m waiting til I arrive in Miami. Don’t stress. It’s going to be good. Before you know it, you’ll be boarding a flight to Florida :)
