First hiccup in treatment

When I started smile direct I spoke to a rep who told me the whole process from taking impressions to getting aligners in hand takes about a month. I was told it would be 2 weeks for impressions and then 2 weeks for printing aligners. I previously had bonding in my teeth and wanted to make sure I didn't remove them if this was going to take longer than a month because I have a couple of business trips to go on and didn't want to go without my aligners. Since Its almost the end of April I decided to call today to get status on my impressions. Last week the representative I spoke to told me the lastest I would receive my plan would be the 28th. (Also the email I received also noted two weeks till they send the plan so again latest 28th) Apparently that is not the case. The representative that I spoke to today told me My impressions were only accepted on Friday the 21 ( they received them on the 13th) and that from the time they accept it takes another 7-10 business days to have the smile plan. What this means is that I'm only on the 2nd business day and it could be as late as May 8th. Not only that but I asked how long from the time I purchase the plan till the time I receive the first retainers and was told it usually takes 4 weeks! So let's say I receive and purchase my plan the 8th I won't get the retainers till mid June. This really goes against everything I've been told from the beginning and now I'm stuck without my bonding and without my aligners. Im extremely disappointed. I'm considering saying no to the smile care plan and putting my bonding back in.

Great news

I called smile direct club this weekend and was told my impressions were approved! That's great news! I was absolutely terrified that I didn't do them correctly. The representative I spoke to told me I need to wait two weeks before I get my plan (latest 28th of April) though I've seen some people get it much quicker. I hope that's the case. I leave on a business trip on the 5th of May and I'm really cutting it close here. Fingers crossed!

Impressions sent

So I sent in my second set of impressions the 10th of April. Of course I messed up the first ones. They said it wasn't deep enough. I think it really helps to watch the YouTube videos people create. My impressions were delivered April 13. I recieved a notice that they are working on my plan and I should hear back in 2 weeks. So anxious Ive been checking my email nonstop.
