Hello there,
Had my gum lift today and for today I am exctremely unhappy. First of all it was made with a scalpel (old school) which caused me a lot of bleeding and extreme swelling. Also, I have stiches on which I never knew I would have them. I know when they do with laser they don't use stiches. Also, he cut (contured) my gum in the back which I never knew about they would do that. Also, contur of my front teeth is not the same, some teeth shorter, some teeth longer which is rediculous. I can not talk now properly because of the swelling. By the way, my gum lift was made at the Sylvan Fain's office by Mathew Fien who comes there ones a week to see the clients. Let me see how the results will be. The main thing is the ending result.

Thanks for posting. That's where I was going to originally go to have this procedure done! I found a different dentist so I cancelled my appointment with Fain. Please post pics of your progress. My surgery isn't scheduled until 2/18. I would love to see your final result. Sorry you're going through so much but be patient. Hopefully everything turns out beautifully.

hey so i've had the same procedure as you done three days ago... my picture straight after getting it done looked really good but now my teeth look as small as they were before the procedure?! did this happen to you...?

The first day I was not able to see anything because it was all bloody. On the 3rd day it was swollen, so probably my teeth looked small as well. Patience honey! You have to wait for the swelling to go away and then you will see the final result. Unfortunately, my gums were not even, so I went back to redo it.

The only thing you can do is give it time. Be gentle on your gums until it heals.
