Dr. Bustillo contacted me because I was unhappy with my results. The doctor said he would complete a revision that would help make the nose more symmetrical and he would not charge me for the revision. I don't have a before picture where I am just looking head on that is apples to apples. The doctor does. The nose was not symmetrical before. I was hoping for it to be after, it is not. Every surgeon, no matter how good they are, have a revision rate. The thing that has impressed me about this surgeon is that he is saying he will keep working with me until I feel better about the results. If I do go to him for a revision I will post pictures to show before and after. I will add some profile pics as well. I am not happy with the profile either, the profile is improved, just not where I want it to be. I have met with the doctor and am scheduling a revision although I am extremely nervous. This doctor has really good qualifications, and a lot of good reviews. This doctor studied at some of the best schools and he is very credible and professional. I wish I had a better outcome, but no matter who you go to your outcome may not be what you want, these are human beings, not super humans. I am getting a second opinion before I go through with the revision. I would like much improvement in the appearance and even though I can't afford it, I would pay a different specialist if I thought there would be significant improvement, but that's the thing, there are no guarantees. If there is a surgeon out there who can fix this symmetry and pointy tip for sure I would LOVE FOR THEM to contact me.

I would reconsider to go to same surgeon who did not perform the first time. I haven't seen anyone in this forum who went a second time with the same surgeon and was happy. I am sorry you have to go through the same again. Your review really helps many people, thank you for caring and posting your journey.

It's interesting you said pointy tip. That is what the others are complaining about also. Pinching tip, downward and long still from side , short from front view.

I need to ensure that everyone knows the reason I placed the review on line was just to inform folks that you can have this surgery and be very disappointed. Of all the doctors I have spoken to and worked with Dr. Bustillo was and is the most professional doctor I have seen or spoken to. This Dr. is genuine, gives his honest feedback for what he feels is surgically possible to achieve, and does not over promise. My original review was not fair in that their were things that were done well and right in the surgery, but the symmetry issue fell short. Dr. Bustillo is a caring, kind, and very good surgeon- but he is human and can't create pure perfection. Keep your expectations in check, and if he tells you something might not be achieved, such as symmetry, understand that it won't be.

How was your nose before surgery? Was it straight ? We're nostrils the same, etc...?

The nose was not straight prior to surgery and Dr. Bustillio did not create the asymmetry it was there prior to surgery and he did correct the tip of my nose, he was not able to get it as symmetric as I hoped, but he did improve the nose. I wanted perfect, and that was an unfair expectation. I think everyone should realize that a surgery can make you better but not fix everything. He really is a good surgeon

Ok thank you for answering, I appreciate it. I really do. I've had a consultation with him and he does say that no nose is perfect , not even before, but expect major improvement. When you leave a review like you did you scare the heck out of us people looking into him because you made it sound very bad at first. Please if you're going to leave a review , please write a fair one. One star? Really? But now you say he's good and that your nose is not bad but not perfect like you wanted. I'm not trying to be confrontational by any means, but I'm really looking into this surgeon so please please please like I said when u write something please leave a fair review for the rest of us .its so important

I think she was being fair-- she was giving her honest experience of disappointment. If you have not gone through the surgery and been disappointed it is hard to understand. I recommend having a chat on private messaging, people tend to be very honest on that medium. Good luck!

Thank you for posting! I've been looking at this surgeon , he has nice reviews, but he does not have many actual patient pics . It's hard to believe that the reviews are real ones, but this one definitely is. I hope you are getting your situation resolved. Best of luck. If I were you I would ask for your records to see what was exactly done to your nose .

I agree with you on the reviews with no pics. It's hard to believe that people will take the time to write a review and don't add any pictures. I'm sorry to say this but I also feel that the Dr offer her some type of refund for her to reword/change her review.

he offered a free revision which I think he does with every unhappy patient , when he has one . He stands by his work , but yes , I still don't believe most of the reviews . Especially, when they are posted so quickly within a short time frame almost back to back. I just want to see a little work, is that too much to ask?

I went to have my tip reduced and my nose brought more mid-line or center of my face. My nose begins at the bridge to go off to one side of my face and presents a very asymmetrical appearnce. The tip was corrected, not perfect but I am fine with it, but there was no improvement in symmetry. Very sad
