Struggling with the same 20 lbs--
Part 1 of my review-
April 25-Sx with Dr.Hasan
Finally got it done! When in at 730. Did some pre op signing weighting and drug screenings. Surgery was at 10am. Two hours later I was done. For those who worry about pain. It does not hurt ! I felt sore like a tough workout. What did suck was the shivering from the anesthesia and feeling uncomfortable in wet compression garment! My mom came along and took care of me! She was the best and probably more nervous and scared then I was ! I was ready to get this done and over with. Let me tell ya, I didn't have to tell dr has an a thing he knew what I needed and told me! He was pleasant and talkative and told me the things I needed to worry about and not. NOTE: I did not get drains as he didn't want to use them for me. ( he has a protocol and will opt to not put them if he can) but ugh I wish he would! I was draining all day! Messy as hell! That was so annoying. When the anesthesia finally wore off, l felt some discomfort and pain on the places he was aggressive with like my back and flanks. I did take Advil when I got back to the hotel around 130pm. But my 3pm I was so uncomfortable that I took my percocet. Note- I wasn't in alot of pain just really uncomfortable I would say a 4/10 in pain if that. I laid down for a bit and was up every hour just walking around in my room. Really at 6pm got hungry and ate papaya, pineapple and shrimp brown rice. I been trying to drink as much fluids as possible. Will follow up with pics!

hey all!
sory for the delay.
15 days post op-
-everyone asks about Pain: the pain was not bad at all. after the first week i didnt take anything for pain. the toughest part is moving when getting up in the morning or if you sit for long periods of time! which i didn't because it felt uncomfortable so i honestly was up on my foot alot and or kneeling in front of my laptop.
-compression garment- I never took it off except to shower, massages , potty..lol. it was on 23/hr a day with three foams and a ab board. at this time my garment is feeling big and i will be taking it in.
-Massages- Lymphatic drainage massages- a must!!! they hurt, but the swelling has been noticeable less and less with each treatment. i have received 6 so far (average 2/wk). i will do 10 and evaluate from there.
I was back to work after the first week. since i wear scrubs it was easy to hide the bulky garment and foams..yes they are annoying but a must to help with swelling.
I am walking alot and have not fully returned to the gym yet. will start this week to do 30 min of cardio and light weights ( upper body mostly). pics to follow of pre and post!
