Looking Forward to my Explant. Suggestions, Tips, Advice? - Miami, FL

**Young and healthy. Great skin condition.**

I had my original BA done in December 2009 and went from an A cup to borderline B/C. I received cohesive gel implants at 325cc each under the muscle. With numerous CCs formed, on left side, I've become more and more concerned on ow to ever get over this problem. As of recently I decided to go ahead with an explant for good! This website and others also helped me in the decision with the positive stories and how I've related so much to the writers. I've been feeling uncomfortable and with discomfort for the last few years and I didn't even want the BA so badly to begin.

It was a stupid and quick decision I made but I'm so glad it's reversible. I want to have a clear conscious on my health and not have these odd balls on my chest anymore. I wish girls and women were not so easily pressured into this procedure as I've seen so many beautifully breasted women get implants and just end with some sort of issue. NOT WORTH IT!!! This website is so amazing on this topic that I'd love to receive any advice from Explant patients. I'm also wondering how soon after explanting can I wear a bra or even exercise? I've heard this procedure, and it's down time, is much easier than the original BA. I've read women that had explants also chose to do some sort of body cleanser a month or so after procedure to remove any left bacteria..or etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! I'm looking forward to July 26th for my explant!! :)

Today I had my surgery and I could not be any Happier!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a bit sore of course but I feel so good. Left breast is a bit swollen but outside of that it's as if I never had the implants to begin with. I highly recommend this for anyone considering it. Going back to rest...more updates soon.

Today I got my bandages removed. All looks great overall. My left breast (problem side) is very swollen. Twice the size of my right! My doctor didn't mention anything about wearing sport bras to help the recovery.... I'm wondering if I should go ahead and wear one? Only temporary deformity I have is that initial concaved look. I know that should fill out a bit like my original form. I want to go bra shopping already but feel it's pointless with my left side being so much larger...I guess patience is key currently.

I'm exactly 7 days post operation and healing very well. The concaved area is filling in very slightly. My left breast, that had the complications, is still lower and much bigger than my right side. I also feel it's a bit firmer than my right side. Could this all be normal swelling that just needs time to shrink?

Any comments would be appreciated!! Oh today I'm also able to raise my arms a little higher! woo hoo.

Feeling great. Yesterday my stitches were removed and after a deep examination my doctor said I do have some fluid build up in left breast so this Friday I have to return to get it removed via injection. (ouch!!) I hope there's no complications after because next week I have to fly back home....

It is now almost two months after my Explant surgery and I may sound like a broken record but just have to repeat how HAPPY I am with my decision. I LOVE my body and breasts and it all feels so surreal. The whole experience of surgeries, breast implants, and now going back to NORMAL is just surreal. Ladies, please don't feel concerned about this surgery and jump right in if you're having the thoughts. You will not regret it and your body will feel so content again. Good luck on your journeys and I'm here for you!
