I'm Shay- I have 3 beautiful boys, 10, 6, and 8 months! I work full time managing a Sephora, I'm a full time student, and of course my boys keep the rest of my "free time" occupied! I just want to take my body back now that I'm done having kids and feel comfortable in my own skin. I'm 5'6- around 150

I am about 90% sure I'm going with Dr. Calva, but I'm hesitant to really bite the bullet and put my deposit down until I get a couple more questions answered. I really can't take off from work or my kids for just weeks at a time and run off to Miami. So my question is, how much time do I really HAVE to stay in miami? I know two weeks would be ideal, and one week would possibly be sufficient...but could I get away with 5 days? Can I return to work after 7? Thanks in advance for any insight!!

There are ppl here who went back to work in less than a week. Also, one girl I've read on here who stayed in Miami for 5 days. Just need to give Eres/ Calva the heads up.

I appreciate the response more than you know. I'm definitely eager to get the ball rolling- I just don't want to do anything to jeopardize the results of a surgery I've been agonizing over for what seems like forever now! :) thanks again

No prob. I know how it feels when I write on my page and no one responds...n u don't have an answer, I hear u on jeopardizing your results but as long as u dnt put direct pressure in sure u won't. Your heart will tell u if the time is right. Like I really wanna switch my surgeon but the surgeon I want won't be bk until June n my heart is telling me do it NOW!! So I'm just praying for the best outcome.

Hello, i had liposuction of my entire back and abdomen with Dr. Calva on Feb 20th, today i makeep exactly one week post-op and im telling I CANNOT RETURN TO WORK YET, THE PAIN IS MASSIVE. I started lympatic massages which has helped alot with swelling. I stayed 5 days in Miami. If it's liposuction ONLY Eres will tell you 5 days is fine, unless you're doing more like BBL tummy tuck etc requires more time, especially tummy tuck bc drains don't come out till 7th day or so. Right now im dealing with the pain and swelling process.im hoping to be ok to return to work by next week. Just heads up, you will need some sort of help. But again everyone's tolerance to pain is different.

And FYI, I HAVE DON'T A TUMMY TUCK IN 2012 AND BREAST AUGMENTATION IN 2013 AND NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS MUCH PAIN, BUT OF COURSE 3 DIFFERENT TYPE OF PROCEDURES. LIPOSUCTION IS ROUGH ON YOUR BODY, WHICH I UNDERSTAND, SO REQUIRES AS MUCH REST AS POSSIBLE.

I had my surgery on Monday February 27, flew home on March 4, Saturday afternoon. I returned to work that Monday on March 6. It's doable but very uncomfortable because of the swelling. To be honest the worst part is the swelling more than the pain for me. The pain actually gets worse as the feeling is returning in my torso. My flanks/sides and lower back have the worst burning and pain, and numbness still.

So as I get more serious about confirming a date and doctor I'm started to really research my options and I'm so hesitant to book with Vanity or Eres or whatever name they're going by this week. I've read so many horror stories about the reception/coordinator staff and the last thing I wanna be is just a dollar sign. I've also seen girls reviewing that they flew down for their surgery and there being a "mix-up" and having to switch doctors at the last minute.
Anyhow I really wanna go to Dr Calva but I feel like I'm getting the run around wth the staff at eres already so I emailed dr calva directly telling him some of my concerns and crossing my fingers for a legit response.
He emailed me back same day, asked for my number so he could call and we could discuss any and all of my concerns etc. that really helped me have a little more confidence in my decision!
I'm looking forward to talking to him and getting further insight!
