41 / 4 Kids / Wanted to Be Normal Again.
The experience so far has been thee absolute worse...
Praying for recovery . I’m supposed to go back to work Wednesday and if I’m still feeling the same I don’t see how that’s going to happen
Vaginoplasty finally done / 4 children
I had all 4 vaginal births. After my last delivery I felt like every thing just went down south I knew that nothing felt the same .
I started to research vaginoplasty procedure about 2 years ago when I discovered such a thing even exists !! I went to multiple consultations and decided on a Dr. out of state who specializes in women reconstruction and repair . I finally braved up and scheduled my surgical date. I am currently on day 5 and the pain is finally subsiding . The procedure was NOT a walk in the park . Day 1 I was fine but when I woke up from the anesthesia I was shivering and miserable but once they took care of that I was fine the remainder of the day, days 2-4 the pain started to really kick In and was excruciating especially in my lower back area from the repair. It also appears that I am prone to major internal hemorrhoids because boy are those flaring up , from all the pressure , I knew I had a few externals that appear from time to time but nothing like this ! The bowels as a result have been extremely hard to pass and I can only pass water stools for the most part until they shrink down which I’ve been using creams for & prep H suppositories for. I have been taking colace and miralax every day since surgery and it does work for BM. If I didn’t have the hemorrhoids I would be fine today . The actual vagina is in no pain at all. I also purchased a heating pad to help with my lower back pain which has been a HUGE relief ! I highly recommend . When I left the hospital the catheter was removed and I was sent home to rest up . unfortunately a couple of hours after I got to the hotel I was no longer able to urinate on my own from all of the swelling . I had to go to the ER to get another catheter put back in place so yes today I still have it in I can’t wait for my appt to have it removed next week ! I will say that I feel like as of today (day5) everything appears to be getting back to normal . In terms of less pain and more energy and appetite. I’m not in as much pain . I do still feel pressure in my lower back but I’m using the heating pad for that and it’s helping . I opted out of taking narcotic pain killers because the other pain killers I was given for inflammation did the job just fine and plus I didn’t wanna risk even more constipation. I’m finishing up antibiotics and I am anxious to getting out and about very soon. I’m Not a home body so being on bed rest this last week has been sucky . I highly recommend making sure you have someone with you. I read a lot of Posts and researches and reviews before making the decision and some for people it seemed like an easy recovery and others not so much , I’m one of the others . I know that the surgeon I selected is highly skilled and I wanted to make sure that I had my procedure done right as I have also read multiple horror stories . Please make sure you do your research and make sure your investment is spent properly.
