my surgeon is a rock star! - Miami, FL

I found Dr Results online after doing 2 in office and 2 phone consultations none of which felt like the PS for me. He was not in my home state but I made an appointment and flew to Miami for a consult.
The office staff were all very pleasant and welcoming, but when Dr Results walked into the room, he was warm, friendly and had an ear of confidence that felt great! He was joined by Lisette his right hand lady and Evelin the patient coordinator. He was thorough, all my questions and concerns we answered and I knew I had found the surgeon to do my long awaited procedure!!!!
I flew home and a couple days later, scheduled my surgery for 4 weeks later.
All the doubt and fears that I previously had was no longer! I am 53 Y/O 5'5", 150lb, super fit ,about to be a new grandma and to add to that A flat tummy....Merry Christmas 2016 to myself!!!!!!

After waiting 20 plus years! I finally gave myself the best Christmas gift ever!!  Thanks to all the ladies who have shared their experiences on this forum. I am not a picture taker and so It has taken me this long to share my journey..but here we go!!<br />I flew into Miami 2 days prior to my surgery. <br />I arrived 1 hr before surgery!<br />Did my paperwork, chatted with the amazing nurses Janet and Lizette while they prepped me, my Rock Star Surgeon came in..marked me up and there was no turning back for me,<br /><br />Surgery lasted about 4 hrs..TT/lipo to flanks and back.<br /><br />Don't remember too much about Day 1. Started pain meds every 4 hrs..a recliner was my recovery home.<br />I was staying at my sisters home..my husband who traveled with me jumped into nurse mode assisted by my sister and niece and made me comfortable.<br />Day 2: was tough my back felt like I had ROCKS in them???? I was crouched over and felt real bad!!<br />Day 3-6: started feeling better...I was not allowed to shower...only sponge baths...I was wearing my CG so I had no idea what I looked like. Walking around the house every hour trying to straighten up was a challenge!  Chicken soup and protein shakes was all the food I needed. Drank lots of water but the frequent visits to the restroom got to me!!! Every trip was an adventure.<br />My drains were attached to the top of my CG so it was really easy to maintain.<br /><br />Janet at my Dr's office stayed in touch with me on a daily basis so that was reassuring.<br />Day 7: First PO visit. Drains out! Belly button looking a little angry so my Dr prescribed 1% Silver Sulfadiazine Cream. <br />Day 8: Needed more pain meds! Back pain was too much to manage without it. I had a mild meltdown! My emotions just got the better of me????<br />Zannax at nights helped me to rest in between taking meds.<br /><br />Day 13: 2nd PO visit. Doc was happy with progress...now it's time to head home!!<br /><br />Day 14: ?? Time to head home. Compression stockings on! 1 low dose aspirin...2 1/2 hrs. flight time. I walked back and forth on the flight without being a menace to the flight attend and fellow passengers and before U knew it I was home!!!<br />Yeah!!! Thank you to my sister for being the best host ever but nothing like being home!!!!!!<br /><br />Day. 14-21:<br />I missed out on all the Christmas festivities by choice just to relax and heal!<br />I Had to buy a wedge pillow as I wasn't able to lay flat. I had to sleep on my back all night and that was tough as I usually sleep on my sides. That was a NO GO every time I tried.<br />I switched out my CG for some spanx and I wear it 23 hrs a day.<br /><br />I am currently 5 weeks PO<br />Everything seems to be pretty routine. I'm feeling great just VERY tight in my abdomen! A little muscular pinch here and there but nothing to be alarmed about. Swelling at nights are on and off! Belly button is almost fully healed and I love it ???? <br />I'm hoping my Dr will clear me to get back to the gym next week after our 6 week VSEE (like skype) consultation.<br />I'm super happy with my progress and still very patient. My next vacation is in April so I have time????<br />I started using Silagen Scar Refinement System on Dec 31 and the results are amazing!!!<br />I feel and look like a 30 year old version of myself! ????????

I was cleared to start working out this week!
3 solid days of cardio and stretching. No swelling!!! Yeah!
Next week I'll start lifting weights.
Starting to feel like my old self again with a new body!!!!
