Breast Lift with Dr. Alvarez
So after having my TT with Dr. Salas at Vanity and my BBL with Dr. Fisher at Vanity I have decided to go all the way and have my breast lifted with Dr. Alvarez at Imagenes Plastic Surgery. My surgery coordinator there was Annabell and I must say she was wonderful!! She was super attentive, she always answered my phone calls or texted me right back, she was informative, she has a wonderful relationship with the doctor and she does all she can to ensure you are totally prepared for your surgery. Dr, Alvarez was amazing! He has a wonderful bedside manor and makes you feel like he has it under control and he definitely does! My results were wonderful!! I will love him forever for lifting these sag bags!! And might I add....... He is gorgeous!!

So I originally had another review but because it would not allow me to change the doctor I decided to go ahead and write a new one about Dr. Salas.
So as I said in my first review I have six children and two surrogate children. I have wanted to get a tummy tuck for a while now but my finances would not allow me to so I just decided to wait until I can save up enough money to do so. Previously I had decided to go to Dr. Jemison in Atlanta where my sister had went and she had pretty good results but because of the fact that his prices had went up tremendously I decided against that and began to look elsewhere.
My first choice was going to Dr. Yily, after reading a few reviews about Dr. Yily having horrible bedside manner and not wanting to give women what they asked for I started to look at other doctors and found Dr. Robles, she seem like a pretty good doctor and I loved her assistant Laura except for the fact I was still a little worried about going out of the country by myself. My husband was really pushing me to staying in the states to receive my surgery so just in case anything happened he could come and rescue me (yeah right). So after reading a few bad reviews on vanity Miami and some good reviews also I decided to check it out a little bit more. The first day I contacted them I spoke to a lady by the name of Diana. Diana was really nice and very informative and I was going to book my surgery with Diana until another lady by the name of Ana contacted me. Ana had the dates available that I wanted to come, which was during my kids spring break so I went ahead and booked my surgery that day with Ana. She was very nice gave me all the information that I needed to know about my surgery and about the surgeon and for the price that she was giving me I couldn't beat it. The quote that I was given was for a full tummy tuck and lipo of my flanks, and 4 portions of my back for $5500.00.
I arrived in Miami the day before my surgery. I went to the clinic where I was examined by the doctor, I spoke to my coordinator, paid the remainder of my balance and also took lots of pictures and did blood work. Everything was going pretty well but the wait was ridiculous! I was there for at least four hours on that day. Due to the fact that my mother is from Honduras the Spanish-speaking really didn't bother me but if you do not speak Spanish and cannot understand Spanish at all it could probably get annoying that everyone that is talking around you only speaks in Spanish.
So the next day I came in from my surgery at 10:30 AM I was taken back about an hour later to prep for my surgery , the doctor wrote all over me then I went to the operating room and the anesthesiologist came in explained everything to me and immediately gave me an IV and I was knocked out for the remainder of the surgery until I was waken up by the recovery nurse. The recovery nurse was a very very sweet Spanish lady who was very very gentle and caring and I can't remember her name to save my life! My sister picked me up around 4:30 PM where I went back to my hotel room.
The following day I had to go back for recheck when I went back in the office for a recheck the doctor noticed that I had a sort of a bump over my bellybutton. After examining it the doctor said my stitches head busted and I needed to come back in the following day for another surgery to repair the stitches where they came apart. On Friday I came in for my surgery at 3:30 PM I did not get my surgery until 9:30 PM and I wasn't released from the surgery recovery area into 2:00 AM. I was bot happy that day at all! They said the doctor had a lot of surgeries and he had also injured his ankle and was behind so I was very annoyed and in pain from the first surgery and wasn't able to eat or take any type of medication so I was very aggravated and felt that they could've handled it differently because of my situation.
Even after all that, I wills still hold to the fact that the doctor is definitely a professional, he has a great bedside manner, he explains everything in complete detail about what he's going to do and he makes you feel very very comfortable. The following day everything was going well I went back for my recheck and a couple of days later my drains were removed and I went home.
As I said before Dr. Salas is a professional doctor he is actually one of the best doctors that I've ever came in contact with. He makes you feel beyond comfortable and he speaks great English so you can understand everything that he saying and explaining to you. He does not give you false hope and he lets you know exactly what he and cannot do from the beginning of the surgery. Diana and Anna were both really good coordinators except for the fact that I was not aware they are in sales so they were almost going back-and-forth and fighting for my business and I really didn't care for that. I also didn't care for the fact that your coordinator is with you until all of your money is paid once your money is paid they really don't deal with you at all so you really have no one that's completely there for you. As far as the remainder of the staff I would say that I really didn't care for them, there were a couple of nice nurses but there were also a couple of rude nurses and a couple of rude front desk people as well who didn't really give a damn if you waited all day or not. As far as my surgery I could not have asked for anything more he did a wonderful job on my stomach my stretch marks are almost nonexistent and I actually have hips so it gives you the illusion that I have a butt!! He also did a friend of mine surgery and she looks wonderful as well so we both give him two thumbs up for sure!! I am glad that I went with Dr. Salas instead of going to the Dominican Republic I don't think that I would've gotten as good as results as I got and I was also able to be in Miami for a couple of days which is always nice.
