So I just got word Dr Ortega doesn't have any surgery dates available for 12/19-12/30 for my tummy tuck and lipo procedure. Let me tell you I'm so saddened by this. Can you all think of any surgeon mainly in the Miami fl area that does just as good a job or better than Ortega? I tried Dr Fisher unfortunately he won't be available for those dates either. If so please inbox me or comment below. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I want to have my surgery during the holiday break when i'm off of work and school; unfortunately, this is his vacation time. So, it looks like i'm going to have to use my darn vacation time and take the first two weeks off. I haven't made a final decision yet. But, that probably what i'm going to do. If I don't do it then I will have to wait until Spring Break and I really don't want to do that. I need to be at least 50% recovered by then... Must have a beach body summer 2017. I was looking into Blinski, but he's a little higher $$$ than Oretega. You can try Dr. Friedman at CG his work looks good from the few pictures I have seen. I went there for my first consult with Dr. Ary Karu (I don't think he spent a full 5 minutes with me) and did not like the office staff in the reception area, they weren't inviting. They all looked [RS bleep]; they looked like their nostril hairs was tickling their nose. Hope I don't feel that way when I go see Ortega or I will forfeit my deposit. Customer service is everything.

So yesterday I finally scheduled my TT with my Coordinator Liz for sx with Ortega!!! I can't believe I'm finally committing to doing after years of going back and forth with my decision. Next on my list is picking which Recovery House I'll stay in. Liz recommends Assistance 4 life. Spoke with Karla and they're currently running a special 7day stay for $950. Has anyone ever stayed at this particular Recovery House?? If so, please tell me about your experience there or give recommendations for any other recovery home you know of there in Miami please.

I have stayed there before. It's okay. But I stayed for 6 days and I paid 940.

That's not bad compared to a couple others places I've called. She told me I would get a free garment and 2 free messages included in my package. I've got til the end of August to book tho!

I stayed there. Karla's team took good care of me. If you don't speak Spanish I recommend you learn a few words to get by as most of her staff speak spanish and the ladies who take care of you may ONLY speak spanish. Not necessary but useful. I stayed for only 3 nights after my TT and lipo. My mom came down and we stayed in a hotel together for another week. I refused to travel with my drains. Dr Ortega wont take them out for 2 weeks so keep that in mind when you are planning your stay and how much time you allot to your stay. The drains suck (literally too lol). I'm not sure I could have stayed 7 days in a recovery house but you have to do what you have to do! Good luck!

I'm glad everything worked out for you. I will be going to Ortega on 10/5 I'm so excited and ready. If you have issues with please start working on your hemo it takes a little time to get your hemo up. Get it checked early so you know where you are.

As of right now, my husband plans on coming and will stay at a hotel. But I am starting to wonder if it would just be easier for just me to go. I am beyond excited and nervous and every other emotion as well.lol. Trying to lose some weight and get toned before the big day.

I'm doing the same trying to lose more weight. I'm staying in a recovery house because all of my friends would want to party and forget the fact that they would need to help assist me so I figured that option would be best that way I don't have to worry about food and post op care

I'm staying here now and they are amazing!! Do not skimp on your after care. It is so important that you have quality people around you to take care of you.

Just booked my recovery house stay!! I decided to stay 7night instead of 6 just because I'm flying in a day prior to surgery. I can't believe it..it's all starting to get real now????
