What clothes to pack? Staying at recovery house for a week

I plan to stay at a recovery house for a week after surgery. What clothes should I pack? What can I expect to be able to wear? Should I even bother with shorts/capris? Or just plan on maxi dresses the whole time or maybe leggings? I'll be flying back to NY a week to ten days post op.

Anyone in Miami from May 17-27?
I'll be in Miami for surgery from May 17-26. Surgery on the 18th, recovery house through the 26th. I might stay a little longer at a hotel or airbnb. Looking into recovery houses. I found one for $1030 for 8 nights. Anyone know of any others?

I'm staying at a hotel because my boyfriend and my mother in law are coming with me.
I had a good experience at a RH 2 years ago, but since I heard about the RH raids I'll pass. I've read on a couple of reviews that a few recovery houses in Miami are under investigation /shut down. The health dept is involved...they are requiring Assisted Living Facility accreditation/licensing (depending on how many patients are being cared for). My Miami Escape RH posted about this on IG.
Curvyangels is the only license recovery house in Miami Vanessa is also a nurse she honest and down to earth. Very informative when it comes to sx and recovery worries & concerns I think she'll be fine ..

I've been reading profiles on here for a couple...
I've been reading profiles on here for a couple years. Finally decided it's time. I'm 46 with 2 adult kids. I've had a few surgeries that have made my belly lopsided and left scars behind as a friendly reminder. I want them gone! And I want my stomach to be even and smooth :)
I'm hoping I've made the right choice. I'm going with Dr. Mel Ortega (at his private practice?). Made my deposit today. The coordinator I spoke with works with a recovery house, so I'm looking into that as well ($1030 extra for 9 days 8 nights). She's been very timely and good about answering my questions.
There's been some confusion though, like when another coordinator emailed me and said I was a great candidate for a Breast Augmentation. I'm a DD! That's not what I requested. She said my pics were very focused on my breasts. I told her I thought she had the wrong person. I didn't think my breasts actually made it into any of the pics. She said no, it was definitely me, wearing a white skirt with polka dots. I don't wear skirts. Lol. So I told the other coordinator about it. She must have taken care of it.
They quoted me the tummy tuck with two areas of Lipo. Does anyone know what two areas those would be? I forgot to ask. Here are some starter pics. Yuk! Lol. I'm hoping I won't look too out of proportion with my big butt and thighs.

Lipo is probably to the flanks (on both sides of your abdomen and around your back) - that is what I had done. I am 19 days postop today and extremely happy. I don't think you will look out of proportion - I notice my boobs and butt really POP! now that I have a hard, flat tummy - but that's a good thing!
Thanks so much for your response, it makes me feel better about it. I'm going to check out your profile now. I'm taking 2 1/2 weeks off work. I'm hoping to be walking upright by the time I go back. How are you feeling as far as pain and walking? Were you larger after the surgery than before due to swelling?
I did not swell at all - you can see in my pics that I posted. I am religious about wearing my binder and getting up and moving a lot. Plus I had my drain in place for 18 days - just got that out yesterday. I was hunched over after surgery for the first 7 days or so, and then I turned a corner. I went back to work 2 weeks after my surgery and was not hunched over at all by then. I'm walking fine now and can even go on a 6-mile walk with no issues. Feeling really good!
I hope I recover as well as you did. I'll be at the recovery house for a week, so hopefully that will help.
Cant wait to see your turn out i think tt is one of his specialities and you'll have no problem my date is june2 so ill be looking forward to my journey aswell as yours good luck

Hi Dc53, I am not staying at a recovery house since I heard about the investigations /licensing issues a few houses were going through. Some houses shut down temporarily, didn't want to tie my money up while they figure it out. There was some info on My Miami Escape RH IG page
