Hi guys! Sorry I havnt posted in a while it has been 8 weeks since surgery. I am very happy with my results. Sometimes I get a little sore and I'm still a little sensitive to touch but other than that I am perfectly fine. I have no lumps and swelling has gone down a lot. I'm still wearing my CG 24hrs a day and I get lymphatic massages done religiously. They really work.

Foam board
So today I went out and bought another compression garment and I also got a foam board. It is very tight and bothers a lot. It has only been 48 hrs since my surgery. Can anyone tell me if I should be wearing foam yet?

Are you in pain to even laugh or sneeze?
Do you have issues walking, sitting, laying?
You don't have swelling?
You can with mo garments on and not in pain?
Were you told how long you would be in pain?
Do you wear anything under garment?

Yes, It does hurt to laugh or squeeze. I do have issues walking, sitting and laying. If I walk too fast it hurts really bad. I have to lay/sit in certain positions and it won't hurt as bad. Laying on a body pillow really helps. I take my pain killer every four hours. If I let more than four hours go by I get really uncomfortable. And the pain comes back instantly. I do have swelling. I wasn't told how long the pain would last exactly since every one is different. They just said that each day will be better. I do wear a compression Garment. I have to have it on 24hrs a day for the next 4 weeks. Under my garment I am wearing a foam board.

You should not be afraid to ask your doctor this question--whether you should be wearing the foam board. The doctors here on RealSelf seem split on it (some do not recommend foam at all, some recommend it later, some from the beginning,) so in order to make sure you are following your contract with your doctor, ask him (or his staff) whether it is appropriate now. Remember that you paid your money for this surgery, and it is the doctor's office's responsibility to make sure you know how to manage your after-care. :) Do not be afraid to call the office!

Thanks! I got it figured out. I was sleeping with the board on and they told me that I'm only supposed to wear it during the day. I've gotten used to it now.

Second Night
Last night was a horrible night. I was in a lot of pain. Had trouble getting comfortable, kept tossing and turning. The pain killers didn't help much. I did wake up every 4 hours to take them.

Yes you're going to be in pain for a while, but your result look great. Get you a body pillow if you don't already have one to sleep on at night it really helps. Keep taking meds as prescribed and you will heal in no time.
