I had 2 very unsuccessful rhinoplasties in my youth. My nose, that was just slightly larger that I wanted before, was completely messed up after the first procedure. The doctor said, that the cartilage in my nose was broken (not true) and he had to get rid of it. As a result of the surgery the bridge of my nose was soooo low, the nostrils were wide and meaty and the tip looked like a piece of pancake. It had no shape whatsoever! I cried every time I looked in the mirror for the next year. The second surgery didn't bring too much improvement.
Surgery was fairly quick, bruising was absolutely minimal and went away in less then a week. I've cried again, when the nurse took off my bandages, but this time from happiness.
Dr.Krau gave me a perfect nose. It's not too small and doesn't look like one of those doll or Michael Jackson noses. It gives my face a pedigree, it looks noble and it's in total synergy with myself. Bravo doctor! You are a true artist!

I'm really happy for you! Did you end up having a graft or implant put in your nose to bring the bridge out? We'd love to see your photos as they help others in the rhinoplasty community so much (you can blur out your eyes if that'd make you more comfortable).
Thanks so much for sharing your experience on RealSelf!
