My process begins on January 29th, I am a little nervous and scared to be honest, I do not want to have really high hopes, and end up dissapointed so I came to this forum to hear if anybody has something to say about their treatment. Is it worth it? Was your experience positive?
Im getting it removed because I've changed, I am not the same I was 5 years ago when I had it done, I think different, and will probably continue to change, so I feel this tattoo doesn't go along with me anymore. It's something I don't want to have when im on my 30's, 40's and so on.
I am a little worried about what other people may think once they see Im getting it removed, so Im here to get some moral support, recommendations after treatment, or just overall recommendations.
It's nice to see that im not alone in this, and that people that struggle with it know exactly what this means.
I'll be posting pictures after my treatment/and process in general. If you have anything to say, don't hesitate, it can maybe make me feel stronger and more confident about my decision.
Thank you.

After my 3rd treatment I remember thinking that the process was already worth it. At that point, my tattoo was already a few shades lighter and the lines were breaking up. That's when my confidence started coming back. -- Also, I heard mixed reviews on my tattoo before I started removing it. My own mother actually said she loved it and wished she could transfer it to her skin! Haha! It was discouraging, but I had to trust in how I felt and I went for it, full throttle, and I don't regret it one bit. -- Let me know if you have any questions or anxieties.

Thank you so much for the words... means a lot. How many sessions did you do? Is your tattoo 100% gone? And most importantly, do you feel more confident about yourself and happy with your decison? I’d love to hear more... I am quite nervous about it...

I'll be doing session #16 tonight and my ink is so light I barely even think about it anymore. I know that may seem like a lot, but I know of a few people here who had their ink virtually gone in less sessions - everyone's body is different and I am not the most health concious person, haha. I must say I have gained a lot of my old confidence back, and then some. I don't have to hide my tattoo anymore because it's just a ghost of what it was at this point! It doesn't catch people's eye on the beach or in the store anymore. It's awesome. If you find yourself hiding your tattoo from people, or if you are ashamed or embarassed when someone notices it, I think you will benefit greatly from tatoo removal. I understand you being nervous, I was terrified! Let me ask, what are you the most scared of when it comes to tattoo removal?

Thank you again... and yeah, hopefully
after 6 sessions I can feel more confident about. What scares me
the most? Well, 1) if it does’t fade away the way I want it and I end up with something even worse.
2) Everytime people ask me why am I removing it.

I know it may sound silly but at this point those are the things that gets me a little
nervous. I hope things work as planned and in a year I can feel the way you feel...

I was also afraid of my tattoo becoming a hideous mess or even getting scarring from the lasers. None of that happened though. It just started breaking up and then started fading away. I feel like the ones that end up looking worse are the tattoos with colored ink since it's so hard to get out. Sometimes they end up looking like bruises. -- People can try to talk you out of it all they want but I doubt that they will convince you to feel differently about your tattoo if you really don't like it anymore. -- Did you see this review I shared above? https://www.realself.com/review/uk-tattoo-removal-complication-my-luck# I think it might give you a good idea of what to expect. :)

Just go for it. You can't do something wrong , i've had my first session a month ago and the shading is lighter , the outlines are still the same. Even if something happends , you can still do a cover-up. Just try to hide not just so other people won't ask you why you remove it but also so no sun is hitting it. I don't know if it's worth it maybe , i'll do 2-3 more sessions to the see the progress and then i will choose if i continue to fully remove it , cover it up , maybe even cut it out and get a scar and done or both laser and excision so i can minimize the scar but still get a good result (Removal wise)

I just had my second treatment on my tattoo. It is not a comfortable process But it is so worth it! Follow your doctor's instructions closely and you will do just fine.

Hi, don't worry so much what other people think if you get it removed. If you're really concerned, wear sleeves, but ultimately it's your body and you have to be happy with it. Others will forget about it anyway, but you will be constantly reminded of it. If you are truly disliking it, go for the removal. I did have a positive experience myself although there were several points where I became frustrated as it is a process that takes time and is rather physically irritating. The good news is that your tattoo is black which is the easiest to remove. Good luck and find someone who uses proper equipment and who is a license practitioner would be my best advice!

Thank you very much. I am doing this in Miami with the Picosure laser and I feel very confident with the place.

I can't believe I started this process. I was quite nervous, but it was less than expected. The people were amazing... made me feel at home. The tattoo is even more visible than ever, but I guess this is a waiting game... I'll post a picture soon.

Well, so here I am. I finally started the process, it wasn't as bad as I thought, the tattoo was a little red for a couple of days, but no blisters or any of that. I felt the intensity of the laser was pretty low since I see a little to no difference. It is a little discouraging to see this result, since I am traveling all the way to Miami everytime I go for a treatment. But well, when I started this I knew that this is a process that takes time, and plenty of sessions. Just a little discouraged with the results of my first one, anyone know is this is quite normal? Anyway, will plan to keep updating and share my thoughts, so maybe I can help someone on this forum.

This is a process, you are right. No one will tell you the exact number of treatments needed since this is very personal thing due to tattoo placement, ink, your health etc. First few treatments you won’t probably see any dramatic change, but try to compare the pictures, this really helps to see the difference. You have a black tattoo and place is good for removal (because of the blood circulation). It will take a lot o patience, but you will do it!
