So my bellybutton doesn't seem infected or anything but it's kind of as if its closed off? ?? Has anyone had this experience?

Doing well but can't wait till these drains are removed on friday. I'm hoping they remove both but so far my right drain is collecting less than the left and the nurse said it wouldn't be taken out of more than 25 ml drains in 12 hrs...keeping my fingers crossed. I haven't had to use pain meds since day 3 and had my first bm that same day with the help of colace stool softener. My appetite has been normal. So far so good. ..I can't wait till l this swelling goes down

My apt time was at 1 so I arrived at 12. I went back around 2 and went into sx at 4 on the dot. I woke up around 7:30. I can say it's uncomfortable but not really painful as long as you Take The Pain Meds On Time. When I got out all of the CVS were out of vicodin and wouldn't have anymore till the next week. We tried the closest 4 to Vanity. The pain started to kick in so luckily I had brought some I had left over from a prev Sx so I used that. I feel bad for the girl that was going in when I was leaving because of she didn't bring any pain Meds she probably won't have them that night.
The Post op visit wasnt bad. I was told to be there between 10 and 11. I arrived around 10:30 and was seen within about 10 min. The nurse checked my belly button and drains. I come back in a week to get the drains removed. Seeing as I live about 4 hours away, I went home and will drive back next week.

Dr Salas was professional yet very down to earth. He was upfront with what he thought my best option would be and left the final decision up to me. He let me know that I could do the bbl but the results would not be very noticeable so it might be best to do my tummy first then come back for a bbl if I still want it later. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions. Overall, I would say my experience with Salas was a good one but I don't think he did the liposuction aggressively enough to sculpt my waist but I will need to wait for the swelling to go down to tell for sure. The less you have to talk to the staff the happier you'll be because most of them clearly are not concerned with your needs you're just another person passing thru.
