I am scheduled with Dr. Hasan in Miami March 17th. I can't wait. I am still battling with the idea of doing the bbl and getting it over with. But I am afraid that I won't have enough time for recovery. That's my biggest fear!
I only have 1.5 weeks off work and will be staying in Miami for a week post-op.

For ladies who have gone with lipo + bbl, how long before you sat down? What was your recovery like? This will help me with my decision. Thank you all!

Congrats, I decided to push mine out. I think the docs recommend you don't sit for at least a month. But congrats...make sure to take plenty of pics!

Congrats on your decision!!! I also had 1.5 week off for my sx and it was enough, each doll is different. I just increased my walking, massages, vitamin intake and fast tracked myself back to recovery. Per Hasan, you can sit on boppy pillow at 2 weeks - 4 weeks, after 4 weeks, you can begin sitting as tolerated. Since you are transitioning back to work, you can use your boppy upon return or use the bbl pillow, neck roll or foam roll which ever you prefer. Now, the recovery...will definitely be an emotional roller coaster, feel free to read my reviews for a good idea, there will be times when some days will be better than others, just prepare your emotions for not just the days after recovery but the weeks and months thereafter. Good luck to you doll.

I'm curious for the emotional coaster ride, is it because of the pain...or do you ladies see problems that start arise in personal relationships?

It can actually be both, there's pain and discomfort but none you can not get over and you'll need an understanding support system around you as you go through the daily ups and downs...

Thank you very much Tawana for the feedback. Appreciate it. How often did you do the lymphatic massages after your procedure and for how long? I plan on getting them done while recovering the first week but not sure if I need them pass that. Please enlighten me. Thanks.

You should have at least 5-10 done, some therapist recommend having them before your sx to get your circulatory system flowing, however for me and especially because I developed a seroma, I had a total of 10 (4 in Miami and 6 back home), then I transitioned to reduction massages - only by my choice, as I then had scar tissue to break up (after I concluded the lymphatic massages). Before you leave Miami, I would definitely recommend you having at least 4-5 done and then you can continue at home, the more better. You will know when the time is up to discontinue because you will notice no additional fluid in your sacks. However, it will still be best to conduct self massages twice a day for up to 3 months or more, just helps with your stomach muscles as they are retracting.

Did he give you instructions for how to sit on the boppy pillow? I will be flying home on day 8 and am concerned about the sitting. It's a shore (80 min) flight, but still...

I put a pillow under my knees and kneeled over my seat on my flight. The guy next to me thought I was praying because I was scared of flying, lol!

You were kneeling on the floor? I hadn't thought of that. Are you driving yet?
February 12, 2016
Yes, I kneeled on the floor over my seat and I only sat on a Boppy pillow for takeover and landing. I was given a medical preboard and was the first on the plane. I told all the flight attendants I had surgery and would like to kneel and stand as much as possible. They didn't mind at all. I started driving a few days ago but placing a half a foam roller under my thighs and a pillow behind my back. I don't go far but it works for short trips to the store or to pick my child up from school.

What did they say about your refund?

Did you book this recently? Because Vanity is saying Hasan wont be there until April.
January 28, 2016
I booked since last year. Vanity insists that Hasan will be there first week of February but not available for surgery until April. Because he pushed people back all of this month, he will have to get those patients taken care of the next few months. They insist that he will be there for my procedure in March. At least, as of today!
