Be me, be mid-20s - make $$. Doctor says LASIK ideal - U sure bro - Doc says all signs positive.
Ok I just dumb bro with paper - no medical 12+ years of medical training. No problem with contacts.
Custom Wavefront LASIK with IntraLase. Surgery + Steroids and drops $6k. Doc says top of line surgery and less than 2% chance for any issues.
Have issues 0-6 months, doc says normal; 1 year passes - Vision not 20/20, have itchy eye, doc says I have dry eye.
Doc says take drops or eyes will be problem, Drops cost $500 for 3 month supply and burn. WTF doc is scammer
Go to specialist doc - says $7k for hard lenses, da fuu, soft lenses free with insurance. Get specialty lenses but dont fit eye.
go to other specialist, $2k for LipiFlow, $2k for gland probing
Almost $15k spent and eyes worse off in every way. How is this legal? LASIK bro ruined my vision and eyes.

yes, this is very typical. I changed doctors last years because I suffer from chronic dry eyes (I’m in my mid 20’s). she as more concerned about selling services (like lasik) than helping my dry eye condition. I then decided to change to another doctor, who stated that lasik would damage my eyes due to my dryness. Now I’m on Restasis (I assume this is the $500 “burning” eye drop you talked about). Sadly, many of these doctors are charlatans and it’s offensive to the counterparts who are operating accordingly.
