I went in for a rhinoplasty interview and just loved Dr. Salzahaur! He spent a good amount of time with me in the initial interview and showed me what we could do potentially with my nose on a computer photo shop type editor. He made me feel special and like he really cared. I was really excited and went through with the procedure. After a year, I still didn't feel like we got the results we aimed to get. He said we could do a second procedure at no extra charge! Amazing!
In addition I asked if they could please email me (or print) my before and after photos over the passed year. They didn't. I went in for a second surgery to get better results and when I was sitting in my "gown" in the private room before surgery the doctor came in and said "Now what are we doing again?" My jaw dropped. I should have gotten dressed and left right then and there! But, I didn't, and I blame myself for that.
After the second procedure he had my nose taped up ("so the tip would sit higher") for a week he suggested. I told him I was driving home for xmas and he said "Well, I guess you don't have to wear it if you don't want, because you'll be in front of friends and family".. Wait a minute, which one is it? Do I wear it or not?
I asked the doctor's office, again, for further before and after pictures...they never came. I am even more unhappy with the second surgery as, it appears he pulled my nostrils up even more, creating a Paris Hilton bird beak. I hate pictures of myself more than I ever have....and they never called me to see how I was healing or doing. I know this is a late review but, I wasn't sure how to leave a proper one without using a system like Yelp or something not as professional.
I'm glad other people seem to be happy with results from him, but, i am not.

Are you planning for another revision? Or are you leaving your nose alone. Your nose isn't awful. Its long at the tip like my nose. You are very pretty. I hope things get better:)

Thank you, Unfortunately I am VERY unhappy with my nose. So, I plan to have a revision at some point or another. I looked better before the surgery and I think that is what is weighing on me.

Yeah, it's droopy, but not so bad. That can be easily fixed. You need more tip support.
These septal cartilage shield grafts are absolutely horrible. They're too heavy.
Did you nasal tip drop? Do you feel the nose is too long?
Do you have wide nasal bones?
Look--I'd add some tip support and see if you can rebolster your nasal tip cartilages (not the grafts--I'm talking about the lower lateral cartilages).
Can you breath well through your nose now?
It could be much worse. I'm sorry you're unhappy, because I am too, but if you can breath and have a straight bridge, you can elevate your tip a little in the columella.

That's great to hear.
Do you trust your surgeon to do a revision?
There's hope. I think ear cartilage grafts are just nicer but if you have a pointy nose, maybe that won't work for you.
Find someone that removes scarring and will use better grafting to give you a slightly elevated nose that's projected well enough handle your own nasal structure better, and make sure your breathing stays good.
Good luck.

2nd Revision has happened
momo33May 25, 2015
I had to go to Miami for business reasons and booked a final meeting with my original Rhinoplasty doctor, Salzhauer. The meeting was slightly awkward but, he was honorable and gave me back half my cost to put towards my 3rd surgery. We both agreed I would get best results elsewhere.
I had already done 4 texas interviews and decided on Dr. Cochran at the Dallas Rhinoplasty Center. This new procedure was $11,900 for revision #2. I felt very confident with Dr. Cochran and our meeting. I am on day 6 of post op and can't really tell what's going on with my nose yet as I have inside splints this time and bandages across my nose. I get them off tomorrow. My cheeks also are very poofy and droopy right now but that goes along with the swelling. My mom however says she can see a difference and thinks I am going to be very happy.
Unfortunately the first time I should have gone to a doctor that specializes in rhinoplasty and not BBLs. I hope other people considering rhinoplasty spend the money the first time on the RIGHT doctor as, after 3 surgeries my nose has now become a $18,000 nose.
