After lurking for months now, I'm finally doing...
After lurking for months now, I'm finally doing it!! Just booked surgery with Dr. Mel Ortega at Spectrum! He does amazing work, super excited to see what he can do for me!
Praying he can remove all my stretch marks and lose skin from pregnancy. I have 3 amazing boys- 14, 11 & 8. With my first pregnancy, I gained like 80 pounds. I'm small framed, 5'2 and that pregnancy almost doubled my weight!! Lost it all fairly quickly and only gained 15 pounds with my other 2 pregnancies, but that didn't matter because the damage had been done.
I had my breast augmentation September of this year..they went from B- E's! Although I must admit they don't seem like it. Silicon, moderate+, 400cc, under muscle. Super squishy and healed great. Only complaint is I think I could have done a lift.
I'm going to stop rambling now..just soooo excited!

Well here's the ugly truth.. I hide it under clothes very well but naked doesn't lie :(
Stretch marks come just past belly button, maybe 1/4" above..praying they can be removed.
I've gained 10 pounds, almost all in my midsection, which actually makes the skin look less wrinkly. Gonna work to get the weight off as much as I can before surgery so he can hopefully get me nice and tight.

PreOp clearance!
PreOp was a little more of a challenge then I thought. I have new insurance so I'm no longer able to see my Primary doctor.
I was advised to go into urgent care for the EKG and Medical clearance.. big mistake!
First, I told receptionist why I was there to make sure they could do everything I needed. She said no problem.
Then when nurse called me in to check in, told her why I was there-again no problem. Have a seat in the waiting room and we'll call u back when the doctor is ready..
2 1/2 hours pass until I'm called back. Nurse says, get undressed and put on a robe.. rudest doctor on the planet storms in and asks why would I even think it was ok to come to urgent care for this. Well, I have no primary and was advised by my surgeons office to just go to urgent care. She proceeded to tell me she absolutely refused to examine me for an elective procedure for vanity reasons and I was making a poor life choice for putting my life at risk. She was going to make copies of all paper work so I don't try to forge her info blah, blah. I honestly was floored by her reaction..
I have never had someone be so rude in my entire life. Could not get out of there fast enough! What a waste of 3 hours.
Finally found a doc to do the PreOp a few days later at a local clinic.. I told her about the doctor in urgent care and she couldn't believe it either. The new doctor showed me that the urgent care doctor put my diagnosis as "body image problem" in my patient file... and it cannot be removed, only marked with an end date...wtf...
Oh well, glad that's behind me! I have clearance from a doc, just need Ortega to review give a thumbs up.
